They NEED to change the powerplay up. Would it really hurt to try something different like Slaf with Suzuki and/or Caufield?
Start by removing Anderson and Matheson. Arber Xhekaj looks far more poised and Anchored on that blue line. I'd even go with two D using Barron. But no we have to keep trying the same shite that hasn't worked since Burrows took over. :banghead:

Exactly. Suzuki Monahan CC Slaf with Matheson/Barron. Load up already, it's the PP!

2nd wave
Ylonen-Newhook-Anderson
Xhekaj-matheson/barron
No to that, Anderson doesn't belong on the PP, it kill the 5 on 4 advantage, get RHP or Pearson instead.

Haha, I didn't know he said that. What I hate about the drop pass is that it's the ONLY play. If they varied the entries it would make sense, but they use it all the freaking time
This is a HUUUGE part of the problem btw you are 100% right

The fact we do it EVERYTIME every SINGLE time
Well guess what, if WE know that
Guess what the other team knows.

The fact they use it everytime literally works AGAINST them
It's insane

Unless the PP is a covert attempt to tank.

Somewhere on earth in a hospital
It really sucks for Suzuki that Dach got injured, he won't be able to have shit games for the rest of the season without impacting the team.
Another full year of Suzuki playing 22min a game playing against every top line.

+ Dvorak is injured , imagine if Monahan was injured. Suzuki would probably be at Pinel in a corner in an isolated room losing reason

lol Slafkovsky easily the best forward that period, still has his butt on the bench for the PP. Much more important to have Anderson out there.

I might be in minority here but I feel that Barron belong in the lineup so far.
I mean... if you manage to make a pass , you are good enough to make this defensive lineup

Guys is it possible that MSL actually isn’t the best coach in the NHL?
He's the best pee-wee nhl coach in the NHL

Most team use the drop pass, the thing with the Habs is they need to regain the zone every 15sec, so they use the drop pass 10 times per PP, everything end up amplified.

He's a development focused coach. He's openly talked about not being concerned about wins. I am almost certain they kept the old assistants around to buy him even more time than the usual coach, because it's going to take longer than normal to take this Montreal Canadiens franchise out of the stone age and reignite the passion and more importantly the *success* at playing exciting, offensive hockey. Once they want to flip the switch into contending, theyll be clearing house but MSL will remain

Will Gallagher be benched for that lazy ass penalty?

Of course not.

If you want that chair you have to score every game from the 4th line for a month.
He’s our David Desharnais, always getting preferential treatments. If it was any other player he would have been long gone but not the coach’s pet.
