Save percentage is a pretty useless stat when looking at a single game, but it is even more ridiculous to apply it to single periods of hockey. There really is no need to go with such useless hot-takes. Why go there when you can write sensible criticism instead?

Skinner really should have stopped that puck. Buffalo also shouldn't have made it back into the zone in the first place. Two glaring mistakes on that goal, one by the goalie, one by the defense. There, not that hard.

Gibson at 50% retention in a swap with Skinner is basically 0 cap difference and a significant upgrade in net. I know Gibson hasn't looked himself over the past few years but he's only 31 and has played extremely well lately. That would be my #1 target

Yeah I could see that happen.. Draisaitl had a couple good chances at points in the first but didnt work out, and Kucherov loves feeding on lesser teams.

I’d rather add a veteran goalie to play with Skinner over moving him for one. Skinner has his flaws but he’s still young and has shown the ability to be a starter in this league. Having Pickard as the 3rd string in case of injury is a very good insurance policy.
