Nah, I'll keep my Breadman and my Jim Cornelison! I feel so fortunate as a Chicago Blackhawks season ticket holder to hear him live at the 35 or so games I attend per season.

I have quoted this for you to read, Fenway!!! :D:yo:
Don't get me in trouble with Fenway. As for Cornelison, I tell my buds to tune in early for the National Anthem at Blackhawks playoff game telecasts to hear it. We don't hear Rene too often lately in post season.

I remember taking my son to the old Chicago Stadium for a game, pre-JC, and I was blown away, not only by the organ but how fans stood and cheered during the anthem. Wow.

Loudest I've ever heard the anthem was at Game 6 of the 2015 Stanley Cup Final (yes, I was one of the lucky 22,000 fans at that Cup clinching home game)! I couldn't even hear one word sung by Jim Cornelison! :amazed:

As much as I love Rene, Jim Cornelison is not better, He's the BEST. Never heard an anthem sung as well as that. We'll give you Rene and the organist for Jim and Panarin. Might even throw in Fenway!

We'll see about Fenway, ha! He seems to think Santarpio's is better than Chicago pizza. :shakehead I don't think so! LOL!

WGN Radio in Chicago did a 'tribute' to Rene in 2013 which Rene has seen and loved.

As heard on Brandmeier Show WGN Radio Chicago. No disrespect intended. This is comedy. We respect Rene Rancourt- he served our country and is a national treasure. But any neutral observer would agree his anthem is over the top wacky.

You guys should realize how lucky you are to be able to choose whichever coach you think is the best choice, based on competence, assuming Claude goes. I would hate for you guys to get Gallant, and to a lesser degree Capuano.

On the other hand, I am legit curious about whether CJ would be a good replacement if he came back to MTL. Not like we'll ever unburden ourselves with Therrien.

I think Julien brings the Canadiens over the top and a Cup so I never want to see that happen. His structure paired with Price would be unstoppable in the playoffs. Imagine Weber and Julien to be like prime Chara and Julien.

My thoughts exactly.

Jack Edwards was pretty honest last night when he said on NESN

The Bruins are not going to make waves this year and most likely next year as well but in 2 years they will be in very good shape and Claude should be the person to lead them.

Glad he said this, I don't see why the Bruins would be better in 2 years, but Claude is one of the best in the buisness, he was amazing with the core we have when they where young and he can do it with the next wave if there's a next wave.

Personally, I didn't like it . Almost like waving the white flag . Fight fight till the bitter end . Let's beat Pittsburgh and take it from there .

Nobody wants to hear it but there is no quick fix that can save this Bruins season.

Seriously sell what we can now and focus on the 2018-2019 season and beyond.

I would shop Tuukka right now and some team might bite. It is time to create a new window with a new core.

The next wave is coming with a couple of key pieces currently playing at Boston University.

I think most of us agree there is no short term fix for the B's right now.

The Hawks are one of the best teams in the league and the Bruins played them tough for 59 minutes the other night . We are going to beat the Penguins today and will be 3 points up on the Leafs thus basically eliminating 2 of those 6 games in hand . We still play the Leafs twice ? Why take on a quitters mentality now ?

Between BOS and NYC
Julien is not Bellichick, he's already been behind the Boston bench too long. This team is in dire need of a new set of eyes (this applies to the FO too by the way).

I don't expect firing him to make the 16/17 Bruins into the 15/16 Penguins, but I believe that a new coach would help turn the 17/18 Bruins into the 16/17 Blue Jackets.

Really though, there isn't.

Power struggle turmoil in the front office

Poor pro scouting and player evaluation at the professional level

Unrealistic expectations/pressure from ownership to achieve short-term goals

A coaching staff that has question marks at the assistant level, and a head coach who I don't think is the right guy to manage an ever evolving roster. Give Julien a team where all the pieces fit and he might be the best in the business. Give him a team where pieces move around and get shuffled in and out of the line-up, and he struggles to make good decisions.

A goaltending situation that once again relies on Rask to play too much. Fatigue has always been a issue with this guy going back to his rookie season. Doesn't seem like their is much they can do right now to change it.

A Defense that simply put isn't very good. Perhaps in time it will be, but inserting a rookie McAvoy next season isn't really going to change much.

A forward group that lacks depth, the top of the line-up is getting older, and the bottom part right now is mediocre. There is help coming it seems, but it's probably a couple years away from seeing the benefits.

Unlike when they bottomed out in 1997 and 2006, that light at the end of the tunnel looks to be a long ways off.

I've known this for some time now, as there is no way this can be fixed anytime soon, they're is just no quick fix here. You're rite on point there my friend, I think they outta just build the team from the bottom/foundation on up. TANK! TANK! TANK!

I'm cool with moving Rask like you said... This is going to take a good while before we are a solid competitive team again. Thank goodness I have so many other things that I do too keep me occupied and entertained.

By the way I read on another post earlier about acquiring Rick Nash from NY hahahahaha!!! You guys are *&^^% crazy..

Just watched the game on DVR. That was a pretty good game by the Bruins overall getting more chances than the Hawks andthe Bergy line neutralized the Kane line all night.

Another tough loss late in the 3rd. It was what? the 3rd or 4th time they lost a game in the last minute or so? (Minnesota and the Habs game. Was there any other?)

The goal started on a bad bouncing Krug pass that Vatrano couldn't connect. After that, nothing went well. McQuaid, was victimized by the pass between his legs to Hossa. Nash was caught watching and doing nothing and Rask was commited to the shot and didn't even follow the pass. Net wide open. 1-0 loss. Another very tough loss to take.

Bruins are certainly not a Cup contender. But they are much better than their record.

All these lost points will probably seal their fate after 82. A shame cause they deserved better. At least in this game.

true.
i still think we will get in.
toronto and ottawa have games in hand but their schedule will be tough on them and neither team is that great.

But both are good.

Meanwhile, the Bruins have been the worst team in the Eastern Conference the last 2 months.
