It's the exact definition of mediocrity. A decent but flawed core filled out by guys that needed a contract at the right time or were available for an easy trade. No thought put in the lineup at all from forward lines, d pairs and goalies by management.

That would really be Zacha and a first. I think Carlo has no trade value right now. I don’t think Vancouver makes that deal. If Miller came in with some fight, hating to lose, and holding himself and others accountable, I would drive to Vancouver myself to pick him up.

I'm not breaking any new ground here but it feels like there is a growing issue between Marchand and the team. Something has been up for a while now. I don't know if he's bought in to this version of the team.

Old fashioned hockey in a 4 to 1 game. Not certain when it changed but this season the fans have called out any attempts at emotion or mild goonery than ever before.

That was a rather tame scrum and Marchand did very little.

No coincidence that those first 9 games under Sacco they played a pile of teams more similar to themselves. Slow, passive, lacking offensive ability (skating/shooting/puck distribution).

Faster, deeper forward groups just lay waste to these Bruins.
