Only thing worse than his play is the pathetic GM sticking with him and not realizing all parties desperately need to move on for their own good. Why he does this with every middle roster vet IDK.

Too many teams sniffing around the 8 seed we aren't getting it and the goaltending is likely to get worse rest of the way.

Sell everything but Pasta McAvoy and Swayman. E Lindholm and Zad could both have very good second years if we get drastic roster changes.

What else can they do? The D are absolutely exhausted as the forwards spend essentially zero time in Devil's offensive zone. The D can't pace themselves at all they are constantly defending and on their heels. The offensive zone is where the D can grab a breath.

At the end of the day, it's the forward group that is the crux of the problem with this team. I'd argue it's the worst group of forwards in the NHL overall, maybe only better than Chicago (which coincidentally is largely comprised of former employees of Misters Sweeney and Neely).

The best defense in today's NHL is to play as much time in the offensive zone as you can. This management team has ignored that fact. The needed to add more speed/shooting/puck distribution in this past off season and they added none of that. Wasted valuable cap space on shit they didn't need. Luxury items essentially. And this franchise will pay for it for years to come.

Clean house of this front office and pro scouting staff. It's clear their vision is completely flawed.

It was 6 years ago that's a lifetime in sports time to get over it.

If you want to be objective 2019 didn't earn our finals appearance either the road was so easy. Toronto sucked Columbus sucked and Carolina was worse than both. 2 teams with no business being in the SCF played a 7 game series and one got the bounces that game.
