It was an even trade. We traded for his possible upside and Keane just wasn't going to get an opportunity here and hasn't in Carolina either. It was worth the gamble but he's not the answer.

Kaapo needs to go back to the Bread line. Until then staple Chytil on that wing. When Kaapo is back play Chytil on Goodrow's wing.
 
I don't see anything wrong from the layoff. This is as much pace as we've played with all season.

We just don't come together as a unit at 5v5. We do not know how to create offense

I’ll be happy to eat crow, but I don’t think Chytil becomes anything here. And I don’t think he fits the type of third line we should have. Goodrow, Jarnkrok, Lehkonen or something like that.

100%. It isn't like they don't play like this all the time. Tired, rested - it doesn't matter - this IS how they play.
 
Does anyone know how many times this season we have outshot the other team and how many of those games we won?

I don’t think it’s a lack of hockey iq. There’s small pieces of talent that result in finishing that he just doesn’t have. He doesn’t have a bad shot, but can’t shoot off the rush. He’s got speed, but not the hands to get inside a defender before the dots. He’s got size but not the balance to bull through a hit and maintain puck possession.

what excuses? They haven’t played in 2 and a half weeks you expected them to be sharp? They literally had to change the bye week rule so that you’d only play another team that was also on their bye week because team coming back would always get their doors blown off. We’ve been off even longer

Not surprised to see over reactions. 2 week layoff, I unfortunately expected that 1st period.

They look sharp and fresh to me. They just can't generate offense... same as before the break
