So, I understand we will lose a lot of games still. Have we made any improvement over the year?

Exactly.
They now have a hothead of a coach that nobody wants to play for.
They traded their best player.
Just scratched their leading point getter. I bet Hartnell gets traded and becomes a playoffs hero.

Yes. We just won two straight games and now the guys are outchancing the Caps through two periods. At the start of the year we had all these arguments trying to find what exactly was the problem with the team, and we didn't know where to start with all the problems. Tonight it's really clear. It's Falk, Prout, and Bob. The Jackets could be leading if not for them.

And no, Joey was not the team's best player. The most talented, but your memory is god awful if you think he was the best player on this team.

We're basically a .500 hockey team under Torts. Compared to October, that's an improvement.

Two things.

If we're allowed to say. 15-1-1 is an aberration, then I think it's fair to say about October .

I also think it's fair to assume the team was likely to be able to play .500 in the games since no matter the coach.

I agree with Espen that, as fans, we've gotten to see some things from young players. But I don't think the team is any better than before.

No doubt he was having an off season but it was too early to bail on him. It just created more instability.

Sounds like you're reacting more to Torts' rep than anything else. He hasn't been that dramatic here. He's been straightforward with the guys.

Benching Hartnell for putting himself above the team is just basic accountability. It's what any organization needs.

I guess I'm just imagining things. That's fine - enjoy the rest of the game. And again, accountability was shown - by Hartnell himself first.

When I said that I was referring to his reputation around the league. I have not seen him do anything crazy in Cbus. So I agree with both of you somewhat. How was that for being noncommittal? Plus please don't quote me for evidence.

There is nothing "crazy" or "dramatic" about his time in Columbus so far.

I've watched Torts on many teams over the last decade, he's a baby since coming here, I think his out burst in Vancouver tamed him along with some strong talk with Davidson too... This stint in C-bus may be his last if he goes crazy again.

You were asked the question "Have the Jackets improved since the 0-8 start?" The answer to that question should be based on how they've played since then, not how they've played years beforehand.
