Do we just shrug it off, and assume we’ll get back to good hockey again soon? Or is their a move you would make or a message you’d try to send.

I think he's got good speed and is reasonably skilled to boot. He's like a less offensively talented, but physically capable two way version of Roslovic for me.

If the issue is scoring and playing in the offensive zone I'm not sure Appleton really moves the needle much further though

Well as the home team we could pull that off. On the road you're going to be top 6 vs top 6 when your top 6 is weak defensively. 55 and 80 need to step up.

Trade deadline's approaching so I think you just ride it out. Players have to be aware that their spots aren't safe because the Jets are going to be buyers, so guys who haven't cemented their role should be thinking about where they're going to be a month from now.

We can’t score 5 on five we can’t score on the power play Our power plays are supposed to now be amazing with the addition of the ehlers. Is there any point of even adding anybody at the deadline. When we add talented players we seem to get worse.

Great username, by the way. How did you come up with it?

I would be riding it out for a bit more but hoping we can turn some things around. Like you alluded to earlier today, I think some (most?) of the problem has to do with the top six, and their spots are likely (rightly) safe. So I’m not sure what is needed. We had been playing better defensive hockey earlier but the past few games we’ve been back to the Charlie Huddy era crap, which is obviously less than optimal. And apart from firing Bones and bringing back Huddy as head coach, I’m not sure how we can get the team back to playing committed defensive hockey.

I wonder where our other Internet buddy, @surixon, has gone? He probably has some interesting solutions, too.
