We were one of the most exciting teams in the league under Quinn. Now we’re the most boring. I find myself passively watching more than ever before, it’s like I just have the game on in the background and am primarily just on my phone. Last year my eyes would’ve been glued to the game.

We've lost quite a few exciting, talented players since then.

Kakko needs to trust himself far more than he does. He needs to trust his skating, size and most importantly his shot. He defers way too much and doesnt shoot enough and ends up trying to go around the goalie all time.

Hard to argue he wasn't totally in flow state before he came to NY. He said he thought he could just keep going, but.... He'll find his way I have no doubt once he has acclimatized. Even Hank said it took him 3 years to feel like a New Yorker.

I've noticed Miller backing up a lot more lately. After those two terrible giveaway against the Ducks then Kings on back to back games on the road, he's been playing safe by backing up. That's been the terrible hockey we've seen from him and Trouba the last 3 games.
