That whole situation was such a joke and just a classic example of the league meddling when they can.

Playoffs or regular season that’s the type of dangerous, needless non hockey play they throw the book at, 1 game was an absolute joke even if you assume that they tend to be more lenient in playoffs. Which in that case makes the Nurse suspension even more absurd. That instigator NEVER results in a suspension,even in the regular season that year it was called several times and never came with a suspension, but they hand him a game in the playoffs. And it wasn’t like Nurse jumped the guy and dummied him, Hague was ready for him and more then willing to oblige.

Was absolutely ludicrous given the situation and precedent that those two acts were dubbed to be equal in severity.

The fact that he was suspended for a measly one game, rather than being out for the duration of the playoffs, makes me sick. Especially considering he was instrumental in helping Vegas win. With Petro rightly suspended, Vegas may not have won the cup.

Especially when that piece of shit did the exact same thing again in the Winter Classic this year, which obviously drew nary a peep from the NHL.

It’s clearly his M.O. and is a repeat offender, but that’s not worthy of even a fine apparently.
