Clifford still showed signs. King brings absolutely nothing. Can't PK, can't PP. It's been all damn season with this guy.

Meh. Clifford has a really low season. I don't see much of a difference. My point is at least give him another full season before you behead him.

Didn't take long for the main board thread on Brown:laugh:

Brown is predictable. it's just people refuse to accept what Brown is.

Brown is a Streaky winger, always has been.

But you can count on, that he will pick two to three months out of the year, where he plays like a monster.

Good post. I've been saying this for a couple years but it's never popular unless Brown is on a hot streak.

Just goes to show how important even simple passes are. You don't connect, you start running around. You don't connect, and you're constantly chasing pucks and players.

Fans said that about Clifford too.

I think it's a bit different than with Cliffy. Cliffy always showed some skill and potential along with his toughness, he was just inconsistent.
Of course that inspires the sort of love/hate that makes you simultaneously want to trade and develop him.

King is really pretty consistent, though.
I don't think he is terrible for a bottom 6er; he is big, good on the forecheck, wins board battles, works hard, and is a "good enough" skater. But the guy seriously has NO offensive skills at all and has never really displayed any. Not shooting, not passing, not receiving, not positioning, and for all his size he doesn't even make many hits.

I'm pretty ambivalent about him overall. He is okay, he just doesn't add much to the line to make it either dangerous or hard to play against.
