I think it's a bit different than with Cliffy. Cliffy always showed some skill and potential along with his toughness, he was just inconsistent. Of course that inspires the sort of love/hate that makes you simultaneously want to trade and develop him.

King is really pretty consistent, though.
I don't think he is terrible for a bottom 6er; he is big, good on the forecheck, wins board battles, works hard, and is a "good enough" skater. But the guy seriously has NO offensive skills at all and has never really displayed any. Not shooting, not passing, not receiving, not positioning, and for all his size he doesn't even make many hits.

I'm okay with him being on the bottom 6, but he just doesn't really add much to the line to make it either dangerous or hard to play against.

That is what everyone said about him last year, and he put up decent numbers.

Thank god that period is over. Off to the liquor store.

EDIT: whoop... Carter! The goal counts because the red light won't work if time runs out.

Meh. Clifford has a really low season. I don't see much of a difference. My point is at least give him another full season before you behead him.

Didn't take long for the main board thread on Brown:laugh:

Can see why now. He's going to get suspended.

It looked like Pominville begins to lean back for the check and brown assumes he's getting hits and tries to counter. Unfortunately it wasn't the chest but the head. I don't think it was blatant. Im saying that with my kings glasses though.

Pom-egranate didn't look like he was trying to stop, also he was leaning down into the hit.

I don't see it.

I have to disagree. If he had instituted the contact but he just braced himself and the fact that pominville put his head so low to make the contact.

Brown drives his elbow into him and the guy is hurt, with Brown not having been penalized for an elbow. Blatant or not, a game or two suspension is coming.
