Unfortunately Avs seem to bury most of their HD chances.. while Oilers... not so much... story of the season overall... although its been better recently for sure.

On the year, we're about equal actually. We're at 16.92% and the AVS are at 17.34%.

We're batting our average tonight, they're about tripling theirs.

100%

I wanted to see pushback and we seen it and they are tired. Then Stu does make 2 good saves end of the 2nd. Positive signs.

Like I said, I will be real happy if we can get 1 point out of today. rest up and then go kick VAN's a**
It will be hard beating the Canucks that game, the boys will be tired. It will be four games in six nights. It’s been a shitty schedule.

Guy needs to shoot more. Plain and simple. It’s hurting our entire PP. It’s like the old days when we have no shot threat and our PP was predictable.
I've said for ages now that Bouchard should be getting 6+ shots per game... just blast away and at worst you injure a few opponents as well in the process.

Yes he'll hit more shins and yes some will be blocked and chances will go the other way for goals against and he'll wear some goat horns from that... BUT some of those pucks will get through for tips/deflections/rebounds... more shots = more goals in the long run unless he is really really really unlucky.

Guy has probably the best slapper in the entire NHL and his wrister is sneaky good as well.

He's not using his biggest asset to the fullest.. when he does it's a whole other offensive dimension to this team unlocked.

im wondering if he needs tommyjohn surgery or whatever the hockey equivalent is. guy has been blasting bouch bombs since he was born, and i dont think hes been clocked at 90mph a single time this year.
Avs broadcast said that he has the most 90+ slap shots in the league this year. They didn’t say how many that was.

He's been off this season although the metrics still paint him in a positive light but he's always been a second half player so I think he'll ramp it up down the stretch.
I hope so. I’m still a believer because I know what he can be.

Cmon bouch!! Activate super powers!!!

when? did not see it, ive been watching his shot clock lately. that would literally be one of his hardest shots ever recorded (in game situations)
I didn't jot down the time. He let a hard shot go, and 97.X MPH came up on the screen.

And like another poster said, he's got 44 shots recorded above 90 MPH this season.

Dont the Oilers have like a 35% powerplay in the last 2 months.

I think we've depended on 2 guys to do everything more than ever before this season on the PP. Drai is having a pretty insane season. IMO there is still room for improvement to get other forwards helping the 2 main guys this year.

Also I’m the first to criticize Skinner but imagine the reaction here if he had given up those 3 goals.

Goal 1: shot from distance mostly unscreened
Goal 2: can’t look around screens
Goal 3: poor rebound control and slow to get across

I'm happy Philp is getting games. If it doesn't workout, I'd then like to see James Hamblin get called up. He was solid last time he was up last season. Speedy and works hard. Great on the pk.
