Because they can support each other with better passing, the Avs were pking aggressively. Once it simmered down they stretched out the perimeter again. Nuge needs to be better moving the puck.

Teams figured out if you rush him he won't shoot it and he bobbles the puck alot.

Been saying it all year. Teams are crowding Bouchard and Draisaitl. For some reason McDavid loves being on that side of the ice as well.

Yeah it's been a struggle for him, I hope that makes an extension cheaper, but I still trust he'll find his higher end game further down the stretch

Bouchard seems to be hesitating too much. He needs to blast the puck instead of passing it to Connor. Blast the puck with bodies in front for the tip.

I wonder if Bouchard is hesitating on the bomb because of the accidental injury on Hyman...

Oilers bend the ice all period, just f***ing dominate Colorado. Tie the game up 3-3 and then Skinner shits the bed on a dump in just after puck drop. WTF he even doing there. AV's didn't punish that but what a maroon. The guy just falls asleep out there. I don't trust this guy ever.

On the other hand AV's should be embarassed to be outworked so hard at home against a team on a B2B.

He and Dobson are competing for who can look like the contract year pressure is getting to them more. Think Bouch will be the kind of guy where when the weight of the contract is off his shoulders he can relax and just play again. Feel like Drai is having that kind of care free year this season, can focus 100% on hockey and never worry about off ice crap again.

He's been off this season although the metrics still paint him in a positive light but he's always been a second half player so I think he'll ramp it up down the stretch.

It's partly why I'm not that concerned if Klingberg gets a look there.

Geez didn't realize Bouchard has zero PP goals so far and we are half way through the season. Guy has to get it going on the PP.

Guy needs to shoot more. Plain and simple. It’s hurting our entire PP. It’s like the old days when we have no shot threat and our PP was predictable.

He's in his own head. Looking for a big contract so extra pressure on himself, and starts the year as the shinpad assassin so now he has lost all confidence in his shot. 0 ppg on the season after last year is nuts.

Plus he busted onto the scene last year in such a big way, that he might be the guy teams gameplan around most this year. He is more easily exploited than a forward, and I think the league has figured out McDrai will get theirs so just try and shut down the other guys.

He's also just not scoring when he does shoot so I think that can affect you. He'll get 10 shots some games and have nothing to show for it.
