Expected a loss, so this is great, but we need to be able to score and play defense at the same time.

Can't rely on Leevi's 1.84 GAA / 0.930 Sv% every game.

Defence is fine. Our top six has been invisible for like half the season. Brady isn't doing anything, Stutzle and Batherson aren't finishing.

Refreshing to finally be able to defend at a NHL level after all these years but the lack of offense is really concerning. But apparently it’s just « drama » on my part lol

No doubt we need a top-6 guy to come in here and help out. Hopefully Perron can at least provide some depth scoring.

Sucks to lose that point. Only bright spot is dad's happy. He's 83 and adores Ovie. He also said the Sens should bring baskets with them so they can carry the puck, and a map to help them find the net.....and I can't disagree with that. This team really needs some polishing in the skills area.

Thompson was good for the caps but we need a finisher. Giroux definitely lost a few steps and its starting to show.

We stayed with them and really took it to them other than their goaler. Got a point against the best team in the East.
Shouldn't hang our heads but really hope we can have some old fashioned Swedish flavored skills practice and some new ideas for our PP. We had chances to win that game, we just over passed it to oblivion// didn't have any real 2nd chances.

it was a net negative. He could have passed it back to the goalie and the result would have been better.

Giroux had a step on the guy who is 3 years older and 50 pounds heavier than him and didn't even try to keep up.

Sandy carried it deep into the O Zone with Giroux going with him. Giroux was too slow getting back to help against the 2 on 1. I don't think Giroux should be on the ice during OT because he is too slow. OT is for speedsters given the amount of ice room there is.

Folks need to relax. This was a terrific f***ing game. I kept having the same thought all game long: POISE.

Everyone, every single player on the team played with poise. Washington is an amazing team. The Sens did not look less than. This looked like a full team effort and both goalies played lights out.
I was really encouraged by this game. Holy shit, they played well.

Frustrating finish, but we took the top team in the league to OT without Chabot or Ullmark, and two callup dmen on the third pair.

We controlled the play most of the game and probably deserve a better fate

The only two teams that we really haven’t hung with are Carolina and Colorado.

We beat Carolina once but they are actually capable of skating circles around us and did regularly

I feel like I'm harping on this, but there were sooooooooo many plays where our team made smart decisions with the puck and didn't panic. The whole team played a full system tonight. I am thoroughly encouraged. f***ing amazing result against what is possibly the best team in the league.
I was worried we were going to get our asses kicked.
