Agree if it wasn't for the fact that the teams also fighting for a WC spot weren't winning we'd be over the moon.
Yeah, but I'm just looking at the play of the Sens tonight. I thought they'd fold up the tent and shit the bed with two rookie D playing. I mean, we had a #6 dman playing his first NHL game of his life. He looked solid and didn't panic. That was because this team wasn't panicking.

This just shows how this team can be with good goaltending.

And I'm sorry but Ovechkin is f***ing amazing. Can't fault the kid for getting beat by possibly the best player to have ever played. Dude is a legend. A monster.

Frustrating finish, but we took the top team in the league to OT without Chabot or Ullmark, and two callup dmen on the third pair.

We controlled the play most of the game and probably deserve a better fate
I generally agree but it *is* frustrating to watch the powerplay at work. They're always trying to find the perfect pass and setup. Pass off the goalie if you have to, and keep two guys in tight to try and screen / get rebounds. Especially against a goalie as good as Thompson.

Also, it's criminal that guy isn't gonna be in net for us during 4 Nations...

I missed where I said every goal he ever scored was lucky.

That was an incredible shot and he one hundred percent knew what he was doing.

Leevi was dialed in and stopping everything so OV shot a bouncing puck before he could even get set.

Definitely nothing lucky about it, he was thinking best goal scorer ever type of things.

There is a camera angle of the goal from behind the net and how it explodes into the top corner is unnatural. Not sure any goalie was saving that.

Off topic …we learned in postgame interviews that Jenson - who went to college- doesn’t know what a Litmus Test is . I went to HS longtime ago (the 80s) .. is Litmus paper in Chemistry labs not a thing anymore?

i Liked Sebrango but he brings a lot of what we have which is decent defense but limited offensive instinct from the backend. I can see why they want a guy like Klingberg for a bottom pair though I think he won't be the right fit exactly. They need one more guy who can provide movements from the defense
