Game 44 Red Wings at Cats 7 00 PM Et 1 16 25

Had a peek at the Florida's game thread for this game. And interesting how even though you've been to the finals 2 years ago and won it 1 year ago doesn't stop you from having like 20 ShanahanMan's when you're losing a few games in the irrelevant regular season grind for them.

Which proves to me not a single fanbase is ever happy no matter if you've had success recently or not.
Quite frankly that's the way it should be. You should want your team to win every game and go 82-0. Nobody should be happy when their team loses.

Cossa should be the backup until Lyon returns.

Husso should be playing in the European leagues.

I agree on cossa. But look at it this way, McLellans just come in as head coach. He needs to know what he has with all the players and goalies available to him. Husso was bad under Lalonde but so we're many guys that are playing better now. He's going to give husso a chance to prove himself before dismissing him as an option. I would be surprised if cossa isn't the next injury call up.

They’ve lost like 5 of the last 6- our board in 2009 or whatever would be doom posting too.

The '09 regular season was beyond frustrating. Just lazy game after lazy game and then turn it on in spurts to win. There was a lot of doom and gloom down the stretch predicting they wouldn't be able to flip the switch come playoff time. They flipped the switch... sadly injuries and scheduling (and the DoPS) f***ed them hard...

I remember the 09-2012 era as “if franzen and datsyuk healthy, hot, otherwise, a shitshow”

Is that the one where Kronner got suspended for playing hockey?

This season the Wings have found ways to lose games Husso has started on the basis of the skaters more often than on the basis of his play. He's not a great goalie, no. But he's also not Colorado Georgiev either...
Last season they won in spite of Husso. The PP was rolling early season. He let in soft goals every game even when they did win.

Goaltending is the one position where "confidence" actually matters. It's a mental game, and I don't think he has it. Now the coach doesn't have confidence in him, so he's done with the Wings. He'll wind up being a backup somewhere next season, and probably bounce between NHL and AHL again. He'll have a much lower contract, so I wouldn't be surprised if he gets picked up when waived.
