Worst part of this game was giving up THREE power plays goals to one of my mortal hockey enemies; Brent Thompson is not seeing heaven unless he convinces his son to waive his no-trade to come here.

There's a lot of things to say about this game from officiating, to individual performance, to luck. But the only conclusion that I can see from every single game this season is how totally unprepared the team is to play. There is no functional system after two years of trying to implement at least 3 different versions. The coaches have to go.

It's really simple from my perspective, and I'm telling my rep the same thing: if Cronin returns next season, I'm cancelling my season tickets. I can't give them my money for what I'm seeing on the ice: win or lose. Embarrassing

Verbeek will say, "The standings vastly improved. That's a 19-point improvement. If only we had a better PP and PK, then we'd be something. Greg has done a fine job with the direction of this team and the culture. So, yeah, I'm picking up his option on his contract for next season."

We don't even know if his contract is expiring or not. I worry we become buffalo west

He should look in the mirror… for his cap and age he should be outplaying Gudas in his role as a physical dman, and much more offensively. He has shown some flashes but he’s been a shell of his former self… maybe his wife wants him to go back to the East Coast.

Haha Buffalo of the west… I coined that…. we are definitely Buffalo of the west until we make the playoffs. A team with a bevy of talented prospects but have no identity, terrible system, organizational dysfunction, and non-rabid fans. By the way, that team was the Coyotes before they moved to a better market in SLC and now have an owner who wants to win.

We need to make a push or some of our middle aged prospects will push their way out like many Buffalo stars. Likely Zegras, then McTavish.
 
From my memory of his statements in the past, Cronin wants this team to be a possession team that grinds in the corners and is defense focused. In the time since he's been here, none of those things have been true. The Ducks struggle to maintain possession, fail to manage the puck well, and are one of the worst defensive teams in the league. He has not delivered in any way from a coaching perspective.

From a development side, it's difficult to know the extent of his impact. But development off the ice needs to be supported on the ice during games. He is failing on that end and has been failing his entire tenure. I'm over it.
