He’s not the only reason why we are playing poorly , but it just magnifies the need for a hockey team to have dogged desired , mean spirited skating hitting , scratching and clawing 3rd and 4th liners

YET? This guy wore out his welcome about 20 games ago.

Real shame. They came out much better than Monday and Tuesday but of course they f***ed up on the powerplay and it killed our momentum.

Why does this team have such extreme difficulty winning a faceoff on special teams? Every time you look they’re losing the faceoff on the PP and the opposition ices it, or the lose it on the PK and sis boom bah it’s in our net.

They're missing Wheeler as well... While appreciate the sentiment, missing Matthews and Nylander has nothing to do with being able to make a save, not being able to make a zone entry 5 on 3 nor be able to move the puck 5 on 3... Defensemen pinching at terrible times and giving up odd man rushes and breakaways.

Matthews can't save you by outscoring the other team, every night. That's not sustainable. You have to play structured hockey.

Though both Matthews and Nylander are dominant possession players who also excel at zone exits and entries.

With them in the lineup the Leafs would control the puck more and by extension give the opposition less opportunities to capitalize on

PP impacting outcome of games cannot continue. Campbell does not look good, thank God we have Rittich.

I don’t get it. It’s like the Ottawa party game complete derailed their momentum similar to when they had those three games against Edmonton and the wheels came off for half a dozen games after that. Feels like when the town starts buzzing about the Leafs in a positive way they just can’t handle the success.
