The thing is, that whole 3 game set against Winnipeg, this is what we complained about, make a big save, we’ve seen it against us time and time again, Campbell even did it for a period, which was unsustainable, but since the Ottawa game, Campbell has looked too beatable at times, the 1st goal, whatever every goalie gives up a bad goal once in a while, the second.. eh ok would like a save to redeem the first goal but whatever its only 2-1, but the third one is like.... wtf. The D have been atrocious don’t get me wrong and I still think holl will be exposed if we make it past round 2, but sometimes you need a save which makes the bench energized cuz rn the Power play ain’t doing it

Three of their goals are by three of their top players. One was breakway, one was 2 on 1(semi) and one was PP

I am not defending Campbell, but all of them the team up front could have done better

First two goals his glove position was brutal. He tries to make saves back by his hip this isn’t the 1980s bud.,get your glove out in front of you want pucks to hit it.

breakaway goal he also broke the cardinal rule of breakaways for goalies - make the shooter make the first move.

All the goals were good scoring chances but al the goals involved poor fundamentals from the goalie.

jack doesn’t have great technique and unless you’re Hasek or Tim Thomas, goalies with technical issues don’t often see sustainable success because you don’t have technique to save you when you’re “off” your game

big save Dave is the much better technical goalie between the two

No doubt. He's being missed. But this is overall coaching problem

You can't have talent like these and not score on 5 on 3. Did they even get a shot?

We are missing matthews and Nylander that's for sure.

They're missing Wheeler as well... While appreciate the sentiment, missing Matthews and Nylander has nothing to do with being able to make a save, not being able to make a zone entry 5 on 3 nor be able to move the puck 5 on 3... Defensemen pinching at terrible times and giving up odd man rushes and breakaways.

Matthews can't save you by outscoring the other team, every night. That's not sustainable. You have to play structured hockey.
