Holtz is pacing for 40 pts with 12 minutes TOI (one PP point) and 8th in points on the Devils. Makes you wonder why he's not getting more TOI, especially with their injuries.
Ruff hates him and even when Holtz is doing good.

a reporter asked Ruff if he's happy with Holtz getting better at all facets of the game and he just tore a part Holtz game like vintage Torts.

Any chance Nate Bastian is an interest to the Habs? future considerations?

I don't buy that for a second. I can't imagine any player taking the night off, Marty coaches to win every game.
You’ll remember how Marty coached to win on the last game of the season prior to the Slaf draft and won it even if it meant the Habs may not have nabbed the 1st OA — but then, the Yotes’ game followed the Habs’ win and they ended up winning their game, allowing the Habs to finish first heading into the lottery.

If MSL would not get his foot off the pedal at such a critical juncture, why would he do it in a mid-season game?

I find we usually get outplayed in these and come away with 1 point or more, so I think that trend will continue.

Team has a lot of fight in them, I still think getting a better prospect is worth more than these little victories, but the team has some spunk for the first time in awhile.
One mans spunk is anothers floundering. lol

Sounds plausible, Of course there are the words in the dictionary that can describe coaching ability. There is competent and there is also poorly, which one will it be today.

I ❤️ you man 👨
I keep hoping that @OldCraig71 gets his own radio show slot or puts up a podcast somewhere — he has no nonsense takes that are refreshing and take into account years of following this team. His first guest ought to be a hockey stick collector from Texas, who is as knowledgeable in his own right.

Make it happen, gentlemen. TSN690 is killing me!

Also, when my b’y @sheed36 guests on the @OldCraig71 Habs Fix Show, I hope translation services are provided. :sarcasm:

The team has competed very hard this season and it is that competitive level that has won us a few games not to mention some really good goaltending performances but yeah, I think there are nights when teams let off. We are rebuilding with no pressure to win and I think there are times when coaches do that, individual players sure do it quite often.

 We'd be celebrities I tell ya, especially in the surrounding areas of NF where our hometowns are, and we'd be going around giving everyone the typical bayman small town NF wave all the time like this see b'y. :D
