Slaf vs Nemec battle. Both guys will be extra motivated for this one.

I find we usually get outplayed in these and come away with 1 point or more, so I think that trend will continue.

Team has a lot of fight in them, I still think getting a better prospect is worth more than these little victories, but the team has some spunk for the first time in awhile.

Easy win for the Habs.

Devils have no goaltending.
Who should we target over there in a trade for one of our goalies?

Depends in which Habs team shows up, the one against Philly or the one against Colorado. Habs can win this game if they show up
Probably a mail-it-in game, gotta stay near the bottom. Marty gets them motivated against the stronger teams and gives them nights off against the lesser ones.

Ideally, what can we do to get Holtz.

He's not really going to crack their top 6.. his value is diminishing but he's a pure shooter.

I don't buy that for a second. I can't imagine any player taking the night off, Marty coaches to win every game.

Really? You don't think that teams mail it in for some games? Joelle Armia would be a 25-goal scorer if he had a shred of effort-based consistency in his game and he's not alone. How can a team look so dialed in against Edmonton and Colorado and be a complete no-show a few days before against the worst team in the league? It's not just the Habs that do it, all teams do. Some of them even do it till the coach gets fired and then miraculously remembers how to play when the new guy shows up.

I don't think they discuss taking the night off, of course some players float during games but I do know MSL is not coaching to lose and the coaching staff prepares the team to win every game.

There are 82 games in a season and lots of bumps and bruises along the way, a team takes nights off, it would be impossible not to.
