Not what I expected to hear...but he is just coming off groin injury..so probably better not to push him.

It's more Portzline's opinion than based on what's actually going to happen. Like most of his reporting. I would expect Bob to start tonight.

Disappointing. Bob is one of the most streaky goalies I've seen over the years. He almost reminds me of Luongo in florida. The more shots he takes the better he plays. I understand the thinking as this is a back to back against a west team, but I really would have liked a Richards to send a message to Bob and let him play this stretch.

To be fair, his twitter account is not reporting. That takes place in the blog and the paper. That said, I expect McBackup to start.

dubi checked him...looked clean...gerbe chirped him, dubi went back over to him and gerbe whacked his knee...couldn't believe what i saw type thing...

other than that...what a game to be at...the post OSU crowds are starting...and its a fun atmosphere...still wasn't a "loud" crowd...at times they were...but exciting...i lost most my voice...that's for sure...

After the game, in the crowd outside the Mare, someone yelled "O-H". The only responses were "shut up" and a few, "GO jackets!" No one, and the alley was packed, responded with an I-O.

Loved that. :yo::yo:

So take all the confidence the team has from last night playing in front of Bob (that they all talked about at length in the post-game) and throw it out the window?

Also, playing Bob in back to back games after he's been off the past 3 days is "running out his groin"? He must be different than the guy I watched play 90% of the games down the stretch last season.

So who do you go with on Monday for the 3rd game in 4 nights, against a much better team than Winnipeg?

I LOVE that! I graduated from OSU and enjoy OSU football, but I could care less about basketball and when the bowl game ends, I don't want to hear anything about OSU until August or September.

I graduated from OSU, follow all their sports teams, and still don't want to hear OSU cheers at Jackets games.

I think what's being suggested is that it may not be wise to test if he can so soon after an incapacitating groin injury.

I understand, but the groin has been reported to be 100%. I just don't want to lose the first momentum we've had in a while by laying an egg against a team we should beat. I really don't care who's in goal as long as we get the W, but my confidence in Curtis is close to zero.

I'm completely on board with the bolded portion.

I would rather see Bob. I agree with DJA on the momentum and confidence issue. Our guys have no confidence in McBackup. You can see it in their play, how much tighter, more hesitant they are. I think it is important to put together a streak here and I just don't see McBackup getting it done.
