This is what concerns me - we seem to do very well against crappier teams, but we're clearly outmatched against the league's finest.

I don't think a late-season collapse would be disappointing if it got us in lottery range and gave us the chance to add some more talent.

She was an absolute snotty b**ch in that movie!

"I wasn't talking to him"

Great game, fun crowd. The "Bob" chant...

hockey wise - pretty weak start, even Bob looked shaky on the first few saves, but stood tall through more than a few turnovers.

once he got the first few saves in, Bob really settled in and played out of his mind. Carolina has no interest in working along the wall or down low. CBJ creamed them in this respect. I also noticed that Carolina didn't really use traffic or deflections much - often just trying to beat Bob 1:1. That didn't go to well for them. On the topic of Carolina, WTF was Semin thinking taking a slapshot by himself on a 5v3...and then he missed wide and out of the zone...stupid...but I'm happy with it

Regardless.... she was in it and played her role... well..

I watch that movie every Christmas. Planes, Trains and Automobiles every Thanksgiving. Caddyshack during every Masters week. And Groundhog's Day every.... well, you get the idea.

I know that small child clearly doesn't play in the NHL and is tresspassing on the ice but did Dubinsky really have to try and fight him. :shakehead

Well thanks to FSOH's great camera work, we don't know how it started. So I'll give Dubi the benefit of the doubt, since he doesn't pick on midgets, that the other guy started it first. No issue there.

wow great win, loved the situation after the game had ended where the crowd was on their feet cheering and Bobrovsky did a clapping "pirouette". Fantastic! :handclap:

That was a great game

good win. Jackets looked good in all segments but...

we have got to learn not to hang the goalie out to dry in the third. Bob was outstanding, but stand up on the Blue line and control the puck. 3-0 there is no shame in working the puck backward or cross ice rather than going for the breakout pass every time. Keep the puck out of the center ice and scrap on the boards.

I do have a mancrush on Bob, welcome back big fella

Good clip.... but her best role was in '89 with Chevy Chase in Lampoons xmas vacation.... (the classic that is going down in history as the best xmas movie ever made).

Few know this.

Apparently someone has never seen Santa's Slay or Jingle All The Way.

I know that small child clearly doesn't play in the NHL and is tresspassing on the ice but did Dubinsky rbaseball swing, and anybody who watches it would agree. He's a good player, but no reason for that. He's got to grow up a little biteally have to try and fight him. :shakehead

Dubinsky on Gerbe: "Apparently he doesn't think he can be hit. I don't care what time of the game it is, I'm going to play the same way. He was cruising through the middle. I hit him, and he turns around with a baseball swing. I don't want to take an instigator and a possible suspension there, but if it was earlier in the game, I would have kept going. He could have broken my wrist. It was a baseball swing, and anybody who watches it would agree. He's a good player, but no reason for that. He's got to grow up a little bit."

Jenners goal was a beauty, but doesn't happen without the absolute hard work by Anisimov and Horton behind the net. They deserved assists on that goal. That is going to be an interesting line to watch.

If that is the Bob we get the rest of the way, I feel real good about our chances.

On the Canes feed you could see Gerbe take a whack at him, but not what precipitated it. Such behavior warrants a physical reply, but glad Dubi bailed on fighting him.

dubi checked him...looked clean...gerbe chirped him, dubi went back over to him and gerbe whacked his knee...couldn't believe what i saw type thing...

other than that...what a game to be at...the post OSU crowds are starting...and its a fun atmosphere...still wasn't a "loud" crowd...at times they were...but exciting...i lost most my voice...that's for sure...

If Dubinsky planned his closing remark beforehand, he's an evil genius.

lol, stop. we're actually trying to go on a winning streak, remember?

We're on one.. do you want to run out Bobrovsky's groin? If this wasn't a back to back, then fine, but it is and the JEts are struggling and without their best offensive player, why not?

So take all the confidence the team has from last night playing in front of Bob (that they all talked about at length in the post-game) and throw it out the window?

Also, playing Bob in back to back games after he's been off the past 3 days is "running out his groin"? He must be different than the guy I watched play 90% of the games down the stretch last season.

That's the only thing that would prevent me from playing McElhinney, the confidence the team showed last night. Well, and that he's on fire.

Did Bobrovsky hurt his groin last year? I dont think so. Tbh, Im fine either way I just want to protect Bob so he's good to go later in the year.
