Hard board. Some of you guys would ritique Stanley cup wins. Just amazed how negative the board is. That was just a hard contested period. no shame, no reason for blaming players. period.

Yeah, I dunno, I was pretty salty with the CBJ game because we were kind of just throwing around pizza's, but like... Idk. That wasn't exactly a terrible period.

And you're never going to outwork a team like this Chicago team when you're on a 14 game win streak.

You posting anytime the team isn't winning isn't a good look.

Funny I saw him make several good rushes passes, and check in own zone. I don't get the nonstop criticism.
We are calling it like we see it, he's off this year and it shows

Yep. Exactly. Luke Richardson DNA is all over that Hawks club effort. End of the day its NHl teams we're playing even if injury reduced lineups. Only one period.

I agree and I’m not blaming anyone.

Even though Chicago is bad, NHL parity makes it so that there’s no automatic wins.

The team just needs to simplify and step up the work rate a bit.

Hawks have every excuse to pull the chute on an end of road trip game. Credit Luke Richardson for squeezing work effort and grind out of essentially an AHL roster with all their injury. Conversely Oil are flat, sloppy and look lethargic.

OT: nice to see Colby Cave's memory being kept alive. Much credit to his young widow for finding a way to keep his spirit known and inspiring for kids in need.

Well both have been very average during our winning streak
During the 14 game streak when McDavid is on the ice at 5on5 we score 4.56 g/60, and allow 2.03.

Draisaitl is 5 g/60 and 1.67 ga/60 at 5on5.

Seems like they're playing just fine.

Drai also snapped a blind one up the pipe in his own end directly onto a Hawk stick for a scoring chance that graduated to several scoring chances.

Completely unacceptable and a habit that has to end. Speaks to the total lack of give a shit by him and the group as a whole. He knows better.
I thought that pass to the Hawks was one of the 3 good chances Draisaitl created, that Drivesaitl was counting!

Yup some nice plays, and some forced plays that caused turnovers. The zone time thought was pretty perimeter. 2 shots on net for the line, one by Zach and one by Connor.

The stats dont support this theory for McDavid.

Hes scoring at a higher rate 5on5 than last year, while allowing less.

Draisaitl is scoring less this year, but allowing alot less.

You’re probably right. He’s obviously been deadly on the PP in the past.

His 5 on 5 game always had a level it could go up.

He doesn’t feel as dangerous 5 on 5 to me but I do think his overall game 5 on 5 is quite a bit better. He isn’t giving as many goals up.

I didn't say that. But you lose a few games in a row and you can easily be on the outside.
They're 5 points up and likely 7 after tonight, lots of games in hand. I don't think anyone is worried about them missing the playoffs

I think it looks that way, because if you notice his shifts lately, its more about grinding in the offensive zone rather than trading rush chances.
