Just want both of you to know we appreciate the support from down under
That was an impressive win, dominated the Blues in their own barn, IMO their best performance of the year even if the score didn't reflect that.
Altho I subscribe to NHL Centre Ice, they didn't carry the game. (I know wtf?). well anyhoo my Budweiser red light was going off so I knew the boy's were scoring. Nice win.
Next up the Preds!!!
Very nice win. The guys seem to be rallying behind their leader and that's great to see. Also the Bruins are a far better team with Backes IMO. He's showing some real leadership skills.
Nbcsn carried it.
No nationally broadcast games on CI.
Um....Pasternak scored three points last night.I did not like that we gave up 2 late goals again, but all things considered this was an impressive win. The Blues are a solid team and usually give the B's a hard time, but to win in their rink very impressive indeed. Krejci and Backes have been playing well for a while and looks like Bergeron and Marchand are starting to heat up, if Pasta gets going again too this team will be fun to watch. Having Vatrano back has made a big difference, so much better for the 2nd line instead of having Hayes, Schaller or Nash up there playing above their pay scales. If we can add one more top 6 forward and possibly a backup goalie and/or top 4-5 D man this team could do some damage come playoff time. We need this kind of effort more often especially at home and against bottom feeder teams as well.
I have not gone through the GDT at all - but from what I saw, Colin Miller has to stay in the lineup - so long as he is okay. I noticed no ice time after the 2nd goal - which was 1 shift after he got injured. Any news on him?
|He has elevated his game and can push the play very well with his speed, skating and puck handling. A lot to like as far as I am concerned.

Thanks man!
I started an aussie bruins fans facebook group last year because the aussie NHL fans page is basically a cesspit of bruins haters. We do game threads similar to these ones.
There are about 65-70 of us bruins crazies on there so far.
Still readers of HF aswell
The Bs had 23 wins after 44 games last year.
So the B's have one less win in the same number of games played than the year prior with Loui Eriksson appearing in all 44 of those games, meanwhile Backes has only played in 36 of Boston's 44 games.
Backes has been for my money one of Boston's 3 most consistent forwards since the beginning of the regular season until now, maybe even the most consistent. Guy rarely has a bad game.
I can't believe what I saw last night (didn't post because my phone went dead & had to recharge). They looked like a totally different team.
I really liked Vatrano on Krejci's wing, IMO he gave that line a boost. I hope Miller's injury isn't serious but it didn't look all that good. Maybe keep him out as a precaution and get Morrow in there?
