He's trash so far this year. This isn't about his potential, it's how he plays right now. It's terrible. He doesn't deserve 1 minute on the 1st line this year.

We can be on his ass when he showed that he was twice the player he is last year. This doesn't mean that he won't be great as he evolves, but the way he plays right now won't do him any good

Like I've mentioned before, this board, despite its knowledge, has no patience for the normal vicissitudes of player development, which include long periods of bad play at 19-20, even with supposedly "high" IQ young players. The good thing is management and the coaching staff knows that the team is in the early-middle stages of the rebuild and the best thing for his development is to keep getting him reps with good players on a good line.
