Caufield had an awful first half of the season when he was 20.

It's just that Slaf can be such a benefit to this team in the future in ways that Cooley couldn't.

No one is denying Cooley has a ton of talent.

Yet....at No1.....even though it will safely be one of the worst draft in recent times....you have to get a significant player even if he is not going to be the very best. There is a possibility that Slaf could not even be top 10 when everything is done.

Issue is this...Demidov....Caufield...Suzuki.....which players do you play with him and he could follow their pace? Maybe Hage could be a perfect C for him.

Nobody in April 2024 would have said anything of the sort. There aren't 10 players progressing faster than him either. Slaf has already shown he can follow Suzuki and Caufield.
