Like I've mentioned before, this board, despite its knowledge, has no patience for the normal vicissitudes of player development, which include long periods of bad play at 19-20, even with supposedly "high" IQ young players. The good thing is management and the coaching staff knows that the team is in the early-middle stages of the rebuild and the best thing for his development is to keep getting him reps with good players on a good line.

Oh boy what? I get along with 99 percent of people here except for the odd pro scout who should be analyzing NHLers for a living.

I say we should put Slaf on waivers along with Dach.

Slaf is good. But his contract sucks.
We didn't give him this contract for the player he is today, it's for the player he will become. Let's not forget how he was a driving force for the best line in the league in the second half of last season. I don't like his inconsistent effort, physicality, speed, and engagement however which should be strengths of his. But I'm also not worried.
