The shutout in Minnasota was pretty big and his last start against SJ looked pretty good also.
And yes, those were 16 pretty big wins I agree but that was all pre back surgery.
yeah, they were somewhat....but they were nothing like a 'must win' game or a playoff game. Like I said, the Anaheim game was probably the first game he started where he was on the brink of edging Quick out for this stretch-run. You could tell Sutter was finally getting tired of Quick's inconsistencies, and was ready to give Bernier a chance outside of the typical backup start. And with that, the guy was mediocre at best....
As long as you can admit Bernier lets in more 5-hole goals than any 'butterfly' goalie i've ever seen, I'll allow it
Nope, LKD has his right....this 'community' goes above and beyond to be rude if you are in the minority opinion.
zing!! Oh, I'm right there with you on that as well.
My biggest fear right now: seeing another Kings shootout this season (someone, anyone! - end it in OT, please!!). I don't know which goalie I'd want in net.
Real question is who in the blue hell is the avs goalie?
Did they have the glowing puck?

It's been a while since we've seen the Big Giant Head or the torta... Or are they reserved for the playoffs?
I think it's the majority opinion to be honest. Many people would like Bernier to start more, but when the playoffs come, I think the people who want Bernier in net are in the minority. It wouldn't be smart to bench the guy who won the team the Cup in the playoffs.
And you're right, Bernier had a chance to put a stamp on the position and give Sutter some pause in Anaheim and didn't get the job done. The Kings dominated that game and shouldn't have lost.
In any case, it sends a really bad message for the team to **** the bed in Dallas and then change the goaltender against Colorado, because it gives off the impression that DS thinks Quick is the reason for that, which would be absolute crap. Regardless of who should be playing more, Quick should be playing tonight.
ugh...KCOP braodcast. i feel like its 1993 when i watch hockey on that channel.
I still think they missed a good opportunity with the glow puck... Think instant replay and ONLY if it's over the line...Sami Aittokallio will make his NHL debut tonight after being called up from AHL-Lake Erie on Tuesday. The Finnish-born 20-year-old selected in the fourth round of the 2010 NHL Draft is the second-youngest goaltender in franchise history.
NO that was FOX 11 KTTV (The FOX-TRAX "glow puck") ... good god that was stoooooooooopid, we'll make it easy for NON-Hockey fans to follow the puck, all the while pissing off 99.999% of Hockey fans that rather not watch lame effects and just want to see the game as it was meant to be seen ... LIVE or in HD on a 70". And yeah I don't know who that .001% would be, but I'm sure there was at least one moron out there that said ... "oh cool"

I don't know about that one.

The glow-puck was a failure, but you still have to give them props for trying something new to try and expand it's viewership.
Anyone else excited to see Aittokallio play? I remember when he beat Gibson for the starting job in last years world juniors.
GKG!
