I ain't even mad. Chi, Ana, etc will go through their own slumps.

I'm just as willing to grab a pitchfork here, but we DID just have an amazing stretch. DL will make some moves.

I know this game is far from over, but does anybody think this apparent slide may have started when Sutter switched the lines up?

It's more Dl's fault. He gives Sutter the players, Sutter doesn't send them down or whatever. Sutter doesn't have much to work with.

So what? RR can't pass, he's slow, MG can't ****ing pass and he's slow, WM is ****ing slow.

Muzzin for a young guy is pretty slow too.

And DL not addressing the LW issue for all this time is just unacceptable

That slow defense is the best in the NHL. If we scored more, we'd be a much better team.

Brown and King aren't top 6 players. They should be our 3rd and 4th line wingers respectfully.

-- / Kopi / Williams
-- / Richards / Carter
Brown / Vey / Toffoli
King / Stoll / Nolan

Get to work, Dean.

Brown is a top 6 player and you know it. An off year and all of a sudden he's a bottom 3rd/4th line player...ok :shakehead

Well the thing is, Chicago has no major problems, Anaheim has no major problems, we do.

It's when the crap players got healthy and automatically got their spots back while guys like vey get sent down.

I don't understand continually bringing up the speed of the defense when that has had absolutely zero to do with out goals against the last few games.

I'd take Chicagos defense over ours. Defense that's mobile and good at passing makes offensemans lives much easier. Our defense is good at getting the puck out of the zone but not passing it.

You mean the same defense that is consistently in the top three? Get your facts out of here.

It's an entirely different system with different personnel. You can't just plop that whole core over here and pretend that solves our problems.

Browns having a bad year. Did you guys forget who helped carry the first line last year when Kopitar was having an out of body experience the whole season.

It made no sense to me why the team decided to shuffle lines around when Mitchell returned. Regehr has never looked good with Doughty and Muzzin clicked with him. They should've left the defensive pairs as is and have Mitchell with Greene, least those two can get the puck out of the zone quickly and make safe plays. Regehr with Voynov was doing just fine as well.

As for the forward lines, we are seeing a bunch of players starting to slump at the same time. They're also not generating second or third chances which has been their strength in the past. I'm not concerned about their position in the standings, I'm more concerned if this is what we're going to see in the playoffs.

Let's not forget how much this team relied heavily on Quick and how the offense dried up during the post season. We're seeing the same again from this team of late with them being on the verge of a 4-game losing streak and with their inability to score goals over the last stretch of 6-games.

Seriously, go back and watch the point right after the Stars called time out. That was the moment things changed. Kings win the draw cleanly, Doughty's shot gets blocked, RR gets beat to the puck and the Stars go to work with a wide open scoring chance. This is followed by the dive that drew the penalty.

Unbelievable how the doors fell of right after that moment.

Despite the abysmal play on this road trip we are still off to the best start in franchise history. Let that sink in before we start tanking for picks.

Regular ebbs and flows to a season IMO. Weather the storm and be prepared to be disappointed if you're expecting to see major reactionary changes to this road trip. We may see some call ups or line juggling but that's all.

If this team can't score more than 1 goal a game, I don't see the playoffs in our future.

Brown has a two on one with a man breaking towards the net and he curls back and attempts a crummy pass to the point that gets picked off...

Yep, a garbage series of unfortunate events. I expect a strong third period. I bet sutter is peeling some paint off the walls right now.

I'm as mad as anyone at how this game is going but there's a big picture here too.
