26-6 shot attempts for LA.

Dont' feel good with Toffoli down and going in without a goal, one of THOSE nights.
 
Polak clearly pushed Toffoli. I'm not gonna say SUSPEND HIM NOW but the 5 was the correct call and I'm fine leaving it at that.

The hit was intended to be a shove into Toffoli's upper body. The result is entirely on Toffoli for turning his back on him

Rule 603 | Boarding
(a) A minor plus a misconduct or major plus game misconduct penalty shall be assessed to any player who commits any action that causes an opponent to be thrown violently into the boards.

“Rolling” an opponent along the boards where he is attempting to go through too small an opening is not considered boarding.

(b) A major penalty plus game misconduct penalty shall be assessed to any player who injures an opponent as a result of boarding.

(c) A match penalty for attempt to injure or deliberate injury to an opponent may also be assessed for boarding.

Wish Vinny and Luke the best in LA. But, Vinny is awful guys I'm sorry. I love the Kings style ( the only team I root for besides the Flyers), and Vinny will have a hell of a time fitting in. Luke will be good, Vinny lost all hockey IQ, skill, everything he ever had aside from his shot. And by the way, he hits the net about 1 of every 6 times.

I get what you're saying but Polak could easily have either done the 'bear hug' check, held up entirely, or turned with toffoli and rode him into the boards. Instead, he drove his forearm thru the upper back. He had time to raise his hand and drive.

i think Philadelphia is the place hockey players go to die, so i wouldn't assess much based on his experience there

Well, no one should make any creative moves with the puck because they might get violently hit, right?

This isn't a d-man stopping and turning his back while admiring a pass, this is a player curling with the puck while in motion.

From the read through of this GDT, Lecavalier seems to be holding his own. I'm glad to read it. I wondered if a) actually being put into an NHL game b) on a different team c) that is actually competing for the playoffs would put a spring in his stride.

Hopefully a win-win trade.

He was already driving as Toffoli turned
 
When Polak saw Tofolli turning he should have rode him into the boards instead of pushing him.

Facing the boards while an opposing player is getting ready to hit you has nothing to do with "not making creative plays"
