Have fun at the game - hopefully your presence wills a win from the clutches of a trap game.
We'll see. I'm 3-1-1 in games attended this season, my presence is no doubt appreciated by the team. I'm *sure* my name will be mentioned in the pre game pep talk "C'mon boys, there's someone in section 330 that is having doubts about us! WE GOTTA WIN FOR LOOCH!" something to that effect. "Looch" is more likely to get a bunch of jocks motivated than my real name hah

Well this GDT is full of lies.
Kypreos doesn't work on SN anymore.
Everything else seems to check out.

The mighty Blue Jackets have made us look pretty silly more often than not.
So the challenge is there to take advantage.
Wasn't it Columbus that came to town with all AHL'ers (almost) and beat us in Winnipeg?
Sometime in the last few years?
Good times.

Whatever... Back to reality, the 26-9-4 first place Winnipeg Jets take on the 13-19-9 Columbus Blue Jackets at Canada Life Centre tonight at 7:00pm. The Jets are coming off of an impressive 6-2 victory over the Arizona Coyotes and are 8-0-2 in their last ten games, including winners of six straight. The Blue Jackets lost 4-3 in overtime to the Minnesota Wild in their last game, and are currently 3-3-4 in their last ten games. Can Winnipeg continue their winning ways without their “Mentors” present, or will they have to settle for a package of “Mentos” instead? Will Jack Roslovic show the Jets what they are missing out when they traded him? Will Patrik Laine and Nate Schmidt share hair grooming tips? Will both @Jetfaninflorida and @King Woodballs be surprised if “sniper” Adam Lowry scores another one tonight? These questions and a few others I forget will be answered somewhere along one of the skywalks leading to the arena...

Geez, the Jets are only paying 1.147:1 for the win, and a paltry 2:1 on a -1.5 goal spread. 2.8:1 on a -2.5 goal spread.

On the other hand Bodog is paying 41:1 for a Gordie Howe hattrick. Think Lowry has it in him? Not enough bad blood between these two teams I suppose.

That's a crazy short price on Winnipeg, assuming that you mean "for 1". Honestly might take Columbus at that price, and think of it as an emotional hedge. When the game is over and we win handily, you can feel good that you purchased us another W. We will then remain at the bottom of the standings because naturally you need to turn the chart upside down first.

Lowry has been a man on a mission though, I'd be inclined to give that one a tickle with some discretionary funds. Turn the price of a beer into a whole ass bar tab, why not?

Kypreos is back on SN, he has a lame podcast show that replaced "Tim and Friends" called "Real Kyper & Bourne". They even recycled the set!

Yes, last year at the beginning of December. The Jets were at home on a 3 game winning streak. After beating Dallas in OT (Helle had his mask knocked off under a minute left and Dallas scored when the play should have been blown dead) and pummeling Chicago (7-2) and Colorado (5-0) the lowly Blue Jackets rolled into town.

I still remember this game without fondness. It was one of the most aggravating losses of the 22/23 season, for me personally. One that had me questioning early on if those Jets had the minerals. They played flat, weak, uninspired hockey against one of the worst teams in the league. 3 periods of shite. The salt on the wound was letting an ex come back to town and net 2 against us. I believe Laine was on a goal drought heading into the contest as well. It left a bad taste in the mouth.

I'm looking at these Jets to make amends tonight. They head into this match up absolutely flying, against a Columbus team that is still grime on the bottom of the NHL's barrel. Thankfully no Laine on opposition to cause fits, and a Columbus roster that is banged up. This is a game the Jets should be coming out all business. Play their game, give the Jackets nothing, collect 2 points. I'm sure the Winnipeg faithful will give the boys some pre game love, coming home after a brilliant road trip. Post game it should be sticks in the air at the Jets logo, as fans and players salute each other for what is being accomplished in the 204.

I believe this is what we will see.

I believe these Jets are different.

They've got the minerals.

-235 in American parlance.

And what the heck, I put $10 at +4000 on the Gordie Howe hat trick. I'll either look like a genius or an idiot and I already look like an idiot much of the time so there's really no down side.
