There are plenty of terrible moments I could single out from tonight.

Spooner skating right into two guys, coughing up the puck, and allowing an ENG ranks up there.

This game was over before that turn over by Spooner. Krug should be blamed as well for passing a puck to him when he is double covered. Blame the top paid players on the Bruins. Those were the guys that didn't show up.

Putting it back to the point over and over and over might make sense if you had a bunch of cannons/legit offensive threats there.

But you don't.

Half a season gone and this team has 7 goals from it's D-men

SEVEN

on 355 shots.

Only 4 D have a goal yet in half a season (Chara, Krug, Colin, Carlo).

So they have likely the lowest-scoring D, the lowest-scoring Bottom 6, the worst back-up goaltending, and yet folks keep whining about the top guys but this team is in 30th place without this clubs top forwards and Rask.

You cannot, cannot, cannot, have so little offensive contribution from two thirds of your line-up and expect to win on a consistent basis.

Won't work, can't work.

There are 17 defenseman with 7 goals or more.

I hate the force back to the point with the lazy Chara wrister. McQuaid and K Miller have less then 0 offensive skill by their 1 combined assist on the season.

The product is stale and hard to watch over and over.

When was the last time the GM or so called President actually took an interview or held a meaningful press conference? Every other local team does it? These guys suck and they know it and it starts with Cam.

Bruins players sound exactly like the NFL Jets guys. "We aren't playing well" "Rex doesn't drop passes or miss tackles"

You know the coach needs to get canned when the players are trying to protect him. They are too comfortable in their jobs. They need a new sheriff to rattle the cage. Way too much complacency on this roster.

As much as the easy thing to do here is point the finger at the coaching staff, doesn't some of this fall on the leadership group in that locker room to not let players accept that mind state?

Obviously we don't know what's being said in that locker room but, if this were the case then Bergeron, Backes, Chara, Krejci, Krug, and Marchand need to be speaking out big time and laying into anyone with that mind set.

Nope, that's Julien for you. This is the same coach who has elevated the offensively horrific Riley Nash to the top line at times and reinserts the even worse offensive talent of Acciari to the lineup. We won't even go into Jimmy Hayes.

The Bruins have 14 forwards on the roster, plus Beleskey who is on IR (Backes is not).

Take away Backes (injured), Nash and Acciari, and they're left with 11 forwards.

Those 11 include Jimmy Hayes and Anton Blidh.

Looks like the problem is with management, not Claude...

Again, they are playing where most expected. Middle of the pack. This is what happens when you go out and sign or resign skill-less defensive players. They could steal some games due to strong defensive efforts, but in the end skill eventually wins out.

Interesting, people think defense is the problem? There were zero goals.

No, this game is the result of trading away all of our skill for "intangibles." It is the result of overvaluing veterans that should've been traded in the McDavid draft. We are probably going to get that 14th overall pick, which will probably be used on somebody from the second round that nobody has heard of who displays leadership and perseverance.

I think the group of players you listed ARE a big part of the current problem. They are too comfortable playing for Clode because no matter how poorly they play, Clode will blame Spooner, Pasta, Morrow, or some other young guy.

First time all year that I have come to admit that this team ain't making the playoffs. Looking forward to the off-season when this team will be forced to make significant changes after 3 straight non-playoff years.

Careful what you wish for! Owners who know hotdogs but not hockey can push for insane change which doesn't equal progress - just change!

Well that was another crap game. Plenty of blame to go around, and maybe it's a combination of :
A) style of play; cause-Claude
B) talent of team overall; cause-Don/Cam/Peter
C) slow start(s), poor effort; cause-Claude and players
D) low offensive output; cause-see A and B
E) weak defence; cause-see B

Bottom line-this isn't getting fixed anytime soon. Change is needed and it doesn't happen overnight.
We are a long way from contending.
And the trick is who leads the change?

Aint that the truth.

Cant fire the team start with the coach, Tampa 2 behind with 2 extra games, it is only a matter of time.

Toronto isnt that far behind either.

Just change, something, anything this team is ground hog day except not funny.

I'd be happy if they just waived a couple of these zero-zone veterans and called up some speed and skill from Providence at this point.

Worst loss of the year by far for me. More excitement watching moss grow on a log.

Devils had lost 12 of their last 14. To come away with nothing is a disaster.

Tonight was worse than Colorado beating us in Boston because Colorado hasn't lost in Boston since 1998.

Don't worry about the games in hand crap. This team isn't good enough. Even if they didn't have those games in hand, they still will catch up. So be it. Up and down. Up and down. Up and down.

But you can't fire the NHL's equivalent of Belichick :sarcasm:
