Why are you guys like this?

Our PK has been excellent in general. Trouba and Lindgren were out for goals against because of that, you know, the job they've been doing very well.

We were bad. Zibanejad had a particularly awful game. We are 6 wins from the Stanley Cup and everyone seems to think our whole team is rubbish
We are like this because we have seen the last 84 years of this team's history.

It’s not really close. Zibanejad and the usual suspects on D are just completely overmatched in their respective roles.

Officiating also playing a huge role. If the rules were enforced as written could be a different story.
Forwards too. I don't put the blame entirely on the D for the failure to move the puck out. The forwards are all butterfingers from the hitting.

To be clear, nobody beats this Florida forecheck. That's why they're where they are. What other teams manage to do is threaten them with some legitimate weapons and the ability to counterattack with intensity and purpose.

I'm sorry but this series comes down to Bread and Tofu. 0 goals. Costly mistakes. Airheaded shifts. Just complete non-factors. Vegas beat Florida because their big boys dominated. Eichel, Stone. Ours are non-factors except for 4 game stretches where the PP is hot--and shockingly that becomes less and less frequent the deeper we go. Pathetic series from those two.

It really felt like after the 1st period they just tried to play it safe for 40 mins. Flipping it up the middle and just praying for a bounce is not going to work. Laviolette is lost

Newflash: You aren't going to get calls if you never have the damn puck. These last two games have been an embarrassment. Last I checked, the Panthers aren't the 80's Oilers.

Show some balls and take the play to Florida in G5.

For the love of God they need to put the lines in a blender. Almost every goal we've scored has been from individual efforts, not sustained offense. Break up the top 6

Can someone tell my why Trouba overcommits for a useless hit and just leaves the entire circle and down low open for one of the easiest PP setups I've seen in these playoffs?

Three things bothered me.

1. Our guys are losing 70% of the one on one puck battles. This bothers me.

2. A lot of our guys look exhausted. Our defense is exhausted outside of Schneider and Gus.

3. People will focus on the OT goal but we had the puck in Fla end. Kreider goes to an open Fox. There is no pressure at all on Fox but the puck gets by him. Did it bounce on bad ice? Was it careless?
Excellent points, esp #1. It's hard to watch.

Sorry, but why did Kakko try some dangle shit? Peer pressure? Just put the puck on net.

jones would be a far better option against this team than most of the players in our d corps right now.

you want to throw in an undersized defenseman who hasn't played in nearly 2 months into game 5 against a team who has all 5 forecheckers outskating all 5 rangers players on any given shift? One man is not going to help fix the breakouts when the entire team is being outskated.

Just remember we force fed Mika and his awful one timer PP minutes to get him going for like 3 months. He’s a soft player who can’t handle a physical game. We aren’t winning shit with him and this awful defensive core.
