Why are we putting all of the blame for failing to clear the zone on the defense? I get that our D are getting worked, but it's not entirely their fault.
More often than not, it's the forwards who:
1) don't support the D: they fly the zone while the D with the puck has two guys on him
2) make soft ass passes/turnovers in dangerous areas like in our own slot or at our own blue line
There were numerous examples of both cases last night that were responsible for shift after shift of Panther pressure in our own end.
