Man I remember watching the last game these two played. I was in Palm Springs visiting my folks and it was one of the most lifeless efforts I've ever seen against a very bad Devils team. The loss basically snuffed out what little playoff hopes we had.

I've got a bad feeling about this. Devils haven't won, second night of a back-to-back, we should see Blackwood who got lit up for 7 in his last game, Oilers on a 3 game win streak.

The Oilers of old would have had about a 4% chance of winning this game. Let's see what this group brings tonight.

Yea, this will be a bit of a telling game for our guys. Its a 'trap' game for sure. NJ's playing bad, we are cruising.
Do we show up to show out and make a statement that we are the real deal and that we're ready to be taken seriously? Or do we sit back on our little bit of success and pretend we are juggernauts, only to be lulled into a bad showing?

I really think this team and year is different. We have the ability and, I think the drive, to really have that KILLER instinct and put foot to throat. Our leaders have been embarrassed one too many times and the new guys are a lot better than supporting casts of the past. I think the beast that is the Oilers may be here, and here to STAY.

There was the concern last game that the guys are too buddy-buddy with Eberle. Perhaps they are more like a trojan horse infiltrating the enemy to bring them down from within.

I was at the game for halls return, remember thinking Kass is a lunatic just going after hall until I saw the replay. I’m sure Kassian would be choked if that happened. Lol

Couldn’t do much because he is on the 1st line playing well, but choked nonetheless.
