He has like one, Demko has had like 10. Look at the f***ing stats.
Demko's only had to be positionally sound to make his stops. Because all of our offensive production is predicated on tap-ins and slam-dunk attempts off passes. He doesn't need to deal with dekes or Rangers cutting in close, cutting laterally on him.

Elite? It can't. Maybe Henrique level maybe and even that won't be easy with our lack of assets and cap room. Unless you wanna trade yet another first. I sure don't.
Moving players to the LTIR? Buy out a contract? Trade Wolfpack assets? I dunno....something. I'm just a fan, not a GM.

That's the start and the end.....you're not going to get anything much for him without adding a prospect or high pick. the rest of the bargain basement signees might bring you a bag of used pucks. And we have no ready for prime time prospects able to make the jump. So, what you see is what you get.
Ok yes I get it. I hope Drury can be creative.

Honestly those charts are absurd & not to be taken seriously so skewed in our favor. We're trading chances with them & falling asleep on D. It's not all on Igor...you could argue he should've stopped 1 of the 5.

I'm not even saying he's been giving up soft goals, but Demko is making virtually every difficult save and Shesterkin is just there.

Vally just echoed this.

Vancouver's chances have all been great but they're not necessarily getting a lot of them.

I think we can acknowledge that our defense fell asleep a few times and also acknowledge that high-danger chances are stopped like 80% of the time.

Both things can be true.

They are playing .500 hockey and it shows. Time to shake things up a bit.

5 goals on 18 shots is indefensible. Unless it's 18 penalty shots, you just can't justify that. I would bet a massive amount of dough if Domingue was in tonight, he would not have given up 5 on the same exact 18.

Demko hasn't had the tougher chances when comparing goalies tonight. The Canucks could've had 2-3 more in the 2nd if Igor was not sharp.

We're losing to a more balanced team tonight...not the time to be banging the goalie drum, IMO.

When this team was playing tight defense early in the season people were complaining that they were boring. How do you like the games recently? I would rather win 2-1 or 3-2 games than this bullshit. I still think getting Kakko and hopefully Chytil back will help the overall defense but they need some changes.

He’s not sharp at all lol

Over analysis is pointless. The entire bottom 6 and 3/4 defensmen could use an upgrade. That's way too many players to address.

Just sneak into the playoffs and who the hell knows what could happen. Just don't draw the Devils in the first round cause sweep regardless of their health status.

I hear you. It's just not easy. Especially with a cap strapped team.
They should have done that with Fil but they won't. Not sure who we can move to LTIR?

I would rather not touch guys like Berard/Sykora. They may actually be a solution to the garbage we have in our bottom 6 in a year or two. They are building something down in Hartford.

He's had as many difficult chances. If you want to say that the Canucks have better finishes ok, but he's had a ton of difficult chances that he's been saving.
