Igor made the first save on that play but Petterson had all the time in the world to find the rebound.

if our defense would start playing defense, we’d be fine. they stop thinking every other play. I think of early on in the period where we had like five unforced giveaways in about 40 seconds trying to clear our zone. nothing came of it, but the fact they happened is a huge concern.

We're a slow-ass team trying to play a skill game that's getting feasted on by actual fast and skilled teams. We move pretty well in the offensive zone. That's when our players are "having fun" and getting their jollies. All other parts of their game is slow, from the breakouts to the back passes trying to retain possession to the horrible transition coverage.

I think they've played a decent game. Goalies don't get paid to make easy saves, they get paid to make hard ones, otherwise they'd all just sign Halak's and be done with it. Igor has made like 1 or 2 hard saves this game while giving up enormous rebounds each time.

He needs to consistently make stops. We shouldn't be down by 3 here. And frankly if the goalies were swapped, we'd be winning.
