Schneider is terrible. Where is the guy who looked good the first season. People wanted to trade Trouba for this guy to move up to a top 4 spot. Glad he isn’t too 4
Entire Rangers defense was good at outset of season....you rarely (if ever) saw an opposing player alone in the slot or near the top of the crease....now it seems they're setting up camp there or skating around the low slot as if they own the place. What little physicality Rangers had has given way to what Vally so eloquently calls "hope checks" -- We're on our third coach and they still haven't learned how to play the man... Stick/poke checks ain't cuttin' it, fellas!!!!!!

I don't think we are SOFT like 3-4 years ago soft. This team lacks intelligence
Teams pretty soft still. Its a culture problem. The longest tenured ranger whos 6’3 230 prefers to tap guys on the ass and shake hands rather than dig for loose pucks. Same guy pulls up instead of laying hits on the forecheck.

We have a group of country club players who will get absolutely whacked come playoff time

Whenever you get the chance to watch Lafreniere play, it’s just truly an incredible moment and absolute pleasure to witness greatness unfold behind our very own eyes.

Man it would truly be a dream come true to see him in a Canucks jersey. Pettersson is just itching for real talent like Laffy.

So much this. We looked great defensively for the first few weeks. What the hell happened?
I think we rocketed out of the starting blocks that gave our habitual freewheeling license to freewheel

What do you mean try to blame Krieder? You and I both saw that we needed a defensive change. They get the puck to Krieder at our blue line and what does he do? He throws it back behind our net.
Because his back is to the neutral zone. He passes it back to the defense with plenty of time, who are arguably considered your top pair, and they cant make a smart sound play to a forward so they can make a line change? Nope instead they f***ing panic. Egregiously poor job by Lindgren.

The winning allows people to ignore it but I’ll
keep saying it. This ranger team is scary scary scary soft.

This team aint built for the playoffs. Need some serious grinders at the deadline.
That’s the problem though isn’t it? There not built. There mostly odds and ends.
Rebuild started in 2018 and this is what we’ve got to show for it:

Lafrenier
Cuylle
Miller
Schneider
Kakko (injured)
Jones
Othmann (call up)

If anyone is looking for Shesterkin or Chytil, they were both drafted before 2018.

But the team can't give up three unanswered goals in a period on home ice and expect people here not to be pissed off.
I’m more pissed at how f***ing open the canucks were on their goals. just zero defense. sometimes you get beat, sometimes you do dumb shit like schneider who just takes himself out of the play for no f***ing reason or miller who literally stops skating. mind boggling

Look, if St Louis can win the cup after being dead last at Xmas then we can make the playoffs this year.
