Entire Rangers defense was good at outset of season....you rarely (if ever) saw an opposing player alone in the slot or near the top of the crease....now it seems they're setting up camp there or skating around the low slot as if they own the place. What little physicality Rangers had has given way to what Vally so eloquently calls "hope checks" -- We're on our third coach and they still haven't learned how to play the man... Stick/poke checks ain't cuttin' it, fellas!!!!!!Schneider is terrible. Where is the guy who looked good the first season. People wanted to trade Trouba for this guy to move up to a top 4 spot. Glad he isn’t too 4
Teams pretty soft still. Its a culture problem. The longest tenured ranger whos 6’3 230 prefers to tap guys on the ass and shake hands rather than dig for loose pucks. Same guy pulls up instead of laying hits on the forecheck.I don't think we are SOFT like 3-4 years ago soft. This team lacks intelligence
He can be. He's just regressing from the progress that was being madeThe guy just isn’t an NHL top four. But he could be an NHL second line forward.
better than any RW we have (natural RW that is)Blackwell gonna be a Ranger again, isn't he....
I think we rocketed out of the starting blocks that gave our habitual freewheeling license to freewheelSo much this. We looked great defensively for the first few weeks. What the hell happened?
Why not, they tried it for a few shifts when Wheelchair was serving that major penalty, Othman was fineMaybe try Oth on the 1st line. Change it up.
I'm not.We're really missing Kakko
Because his back is to the neutral zone. He passes it back to the defense with plenty of time, who are arguably considered your top pair, and they cant make a smart sound play to a forward so they can make a line change? Nope instead they f***ing panic. Egregiously poor job by Lindgren. What do you mean try to blame Krieder? You and I both saw that we needed a defensive change. They get the puck to Krieder at our blue line and what does he do? He throws it back behind our net.
That’s the problem though isn’t it? There not built. There mostly odds and ends. The winning allows people to ignore it but I’ll
keep saying it. This ranger team is scary scary scary soft.
This team aint built for the playoffs. Need some serious grinders at the deadline.
Why is it on the coach & not the players?Laviolette has been Gallant-esque in the game against Carolina and now this first period. Non chalant play all over the ice.
Could Gallant? Could Quinn? The core always was the problem.
And Chytil too. We need them back. We're really missing Kakko
I’m more pissed at how f***ing open the canucks were on their goals. just zero defense. sometimes you get beat, sometimes you do dumb shit like schneider who just takes himself out of the play for no f***ing reason or miller who literally stops skating. mind bogglingBut the team can't give up three unanswered goals in a period on home ice and expect people here not to be pissed off.
For sure, I feel like he's comfortable playing here and he definitely has more pep than Wheeler. Asking Wheeler to keep up with Kreider is hilarious. Why not, they tried it for a few shifts when Wheelchair was serving that major penalty, Othman was fine
Oh 100%And Chytil too. We need them back.

We have a group of country club players who will get absolutely whacked come playoff time
Kakko doesn't miss you either, he told me.I'm not.
