Decided to look up the giveaway metrics before and since Dec 5th (When Gallant changed things up against the Blues which kickstarted the winning streak):

GvA/60 over 2.00 before Dec 5th
Carpenter: 3.57
Schneider: 3.07
Fox: 2.73
Hájek: 2.64
Blais: 2.63
Panarin: 2.47
Trocheck: 2.47
Miller: 2.20
Jones: 2.16
Zibanejad: 2.16
Kravtsov: 2.06

GvA/60 over 2.00 since Dec 5th
Panarin: 4.33 (+1.86)
Zibanejad: 2.95 (+0.79)
Trocheck: 2.56 (+0.09)
Lafrenière: 2.39 (+1.65)
Vesey: 2.03 (+0.93)

The Breadman likes to Giveth rather than Taketh.

I have been saying the same about Gauthier for weeks.Laf, Chytil,Gauthier is a very intriguing line

They played Laf - Chytil -Gauth a lot last season and it was dead in the water, no creativity (even if they had good possession metrics). Maybe the new and improved Gauthier makes things better, hard to know without trying, but Fil needs someone to give him the puck with speed and space to use or he starts skating the puck into the oppo D a lot.

Andersen is hurt for Carolina again? Why is this team always the darling of the league when they've accomplished nothing in the playoffs and have a new goalie carousel every year?

Bunch of bull. Most of the number 1 picks the past few years are doing pretty well right now. Chytil, Kakko, Miller, Scheider have all been good. Kravs has been decent and I still think Laf will be fine as well.
You’re pretending

you saw how Edmonton's scouting was with all those 1st overall picks, so I mean, yeah they can definitely f*** up that many times
What abouttism at its best

Edm so yeah

Carolina's projected lineup for tonight's 7 p.m. EST puck drop is:

Forwards:

Teravainen - Aho - Jarvis

Svechnikov - Stastny - Necas

Martinook - Staal - Fast

Noesen - Kotkaniemi - Stepan

Defense:

Slavin - Burns

Skjei - Pesce

de Haan - Chatfield

Last 4 years…actually have won a round every year:
19: Conference finals, lost to Boston
20: Second round, lost to Boston,
21: Second round lost to SC champ Tampa
22: Second round loss to rangers (without their top goaltender)

Team is maturing….I wouldn’t underestimate their playoff potential this year

Do these numbers mean that before Dec 5th, Hajek was better than Fox in this stat?

You need to have the puck in the first place in order to turn it over. It's not uncommon to see some of the best players in the league lead in the turnover stat. The fact that Carpenter was #1 on the list, despite rarely having the puck on his stick, is legitimately insane.

Time to piss on our home record once again, I guess. I don't feel good about this one and can't even watch, so... *shrug*

Their top goaltender is a playoff choker as well. Andersen would not have made a lick of difference in the series against us because they couldn't score a goal when the Rangers had the matchup advantage. They are a regular season powerhouse due to play style but I dont love their chances when they dont have the top end talent to match teams like Boston, Tampa and yes the Rangers

Would like a win.

Would also like to see Kakko get another point or two and stay on that top line.

Would really like to see Laf pop one in and play well too
Me too! We are ALL awaiting the day when our "secondary scoring" becomes known as our "Primary, secondary scorers". I long for the day (those years). Good times a comin'!
