More flaming, again I'll refrain so I don't get fined, suspended, or whatever....please go back to posting clever pictures.

...and as per usual, the team we played last night will go on to lose tonight

ducks were missing a few players at practice today "banged up" from last night. We would BREAK them in a series.

some PS greatness to tweak it and here is the new playoff avatar

If Drago was fighting the Ducks the bout would have been over when they touched gloves.

If the Kings' playoff opponent fans had Drago avatars, it would be so easy to make Rocky avatars and show up the other teams' fans on HF.

Exactly,

You have to stay one step ahead like a carpenter who makes stairs

What the heck is going on in this thread? My goodness. I'm annoyed at the loss, just like I am after any, but it's particularly salty in here today. I guess that's what happens when it's a loss to the likes of the Ducks. It's similar when it's the Canucks as well. I would say the Blues too, but I can't recall the last loss against them :naughty:. Anyway, on to Dallas, which is always a struggle.

I still think we should do something with 'What did you SEE?'

Yep.

Pic 1 - Routine bodycheck, goal, pass etc. from a player of your choice

Based on what? You had the puck for more minutes in the game? You took more shots? How about that you scored with 30 seconds left in one period and 3 minutes in the last period. Sure we had a fluke first goal, but that is Hockey.

If I had to place a bet right now I would say it is a Kings-Pens final (and I am a Ducks fan), but that comment is just stupid. If you watch hockey you should know that there is not enough scoring to assume the team that controls the puck possession and has more shots should win every game. The percentages are there, but there are other aspects to Hockey, like goaltending.

Why would you bet on a Kings-Pens Final?

To answer your first question the Kings are the bigger, more physical team, and have every bit as much skill as the Ducks. The bigger, more physical team usually wins in a 7-game series.

Very few people would get it, especially since Center Ice cuts away immediately at the end of the game.

Great game. Kings showed they are the more dominate team. Sadly the kings get another poor performance from the goaltender! Has someone put a bad luck voo-doo spell on Quick and Bernier? On to Dallas....

They don't have as much skill as the Ducks.

I agree they are much bigger and more physical than the Ducks though. The Ducks are soft - it's our biggest weakness.

I don't see how you guys have more skill though. Your bottom 6 is filled with grinders (nothing wrong with that), ours is filled with skilled prospects/young players that are just starting to come into their own.

Please tell us more about the amazing skill the Ducks have stockpiled on their bottom 6.

From top to bottom we have a greater amount of skill easily. What you are missing is a common thing, our bottom 6 are exceptionally talented TWO way players. Sure they sacrifice some of their O stats in order to play a more complete and balanced game but that doesn't make them any less skilled, if anything it makes them considerably more skilled.

Which is a solid part of why we won the cup last year and would destroy the ducks in a 7 game series. It isn't just that the ducks are soft, it is that you haven't any real team defence. That isn't to say that you aren't a good team because you clearly are. Its just that you have played over your heads all season long and that sort of thing always crashes down during the playoffs.

You guys remind me allot of last seasons Stl Blues for those very reasons.

.

It's that difference that wins you championships. It was the grinders that wore down most of the playoff teams. Lewis was directly involved with the GWG with his backcheck that lead to the turnover, which Stoll scored to finish Vancouver. Nolan and King were all over the Blues and took them out of their game. Fraser and Clifford were equally important too.
