I'd give up red meat for a year just to get the Dallas broadcasting team in Columbus. Night and day compared to the Jackets crew.

Yep...I posted on their GTD about the same. Professional, classy, and knowledgeable. That said, I love Jody in the booth.

I have the Dallas feed, and they are my favorites, along with Sharks TV and Ducks radio. That said, I like Jody and Rimer has grown on me over the years.

I wonder how Paul Keels would do. He seems to be a pretty versatile broadcaster.

OT: Fox is showcasing OHIO STATE..... this is ok folks, in fact, what this OSU team has done to make the first NCAA football National Championship playoff in history is huge....

It's huge for Columbus....

I vastly prefer Rimer the White over Rimer the "Black"...
I liked Davidge on the radio better, but I like Jody (although he was perfect BTB).

lol...............I never complain about penalties

but that was the weakest call ever

D men always put out a quick arm and get away with petty interference

Are the refs serious with that call on Hartnell?

Well he hit the guy who hadn't been playing the puck.

Congrats to Doggy- it appears he was watching the game.

Savard held that guy up for about 5-10 seconds (or so it seemed) and Hartnell hit the Star in the neck. All 3 calls were correct imo.

Joey sighting again. Very good sign.

Jackets playing good checking game all over the ice. Another very good sign.

Bob being Bob.

Good first period.

Hey Jeff and Jody..... How about putting up Corsi numbers... Advanced stats are real.... Some NHL team broadcasts are using Corsi numbers, we should too.

While I like Billy, I do not miss his cliches and mixed metaphors. It literally jarred my attention from the game. Occupational hazard, I guess. Most people aren't as bothered by that as I am.

Have to note "dodged a break" being one of the most egregious.

My favorite of his is still "if I had your money, I'd burn mine!"
