In purgatory
While I'm glad they actually bothered to show up this time, it once again shows we're entirely dependent on the two to be going. Hyman, Nuge, Skinner -- wtf are you doing? Where are your contributions as secondary scoring?

Yeh I saw this. Then Marty Biron doubled down on the take. Two of the stupidest Oilers "analysts" from last year, doubted us every step of the way on way to Game 7 of the Cup Finals.
In defense of them, the book of work this year isn’t erased by these 2 periods of hockey. But it is a start.

That's why we use all the other good periods of Hockey we've played. I wouldn't even call this Sens game close to our best work this year.

Yeah. I have time for Pods when he remembers to be physical and that was a great period by him. Loved that shot on Tkachuk, how could you not. That said he could've got a penalty for it. He's supporting well on the McDrai line and making some plays. Credit KK on this one.
This is why I can’t take you seriously. In another thread, just this morning, you were seen calling Podkolzin ‘an absolute bust who shouldn’t even be here’. Now, mere hours later, you reframe it as ‘when he remembers to be physical you have time for him’. What a joke. Podkolzin plays physical every game. He leads a wimpy team in hits by more than ten while playing less than 13 minutes a night. Let’s maybe give a guy more than 19 games to fit into a new team before calling him ‘an absolute bust’ all over the board eh?

just block and ignore that poster. The threads get easier to read.

Btw he started hating on Arvidsson before the season started and took victory laps 10 games into the season about it.

Watch us get killed on possession this game, but end up scoring way more than we usually do.

There's something to the quick strike opportune offence vs. cycle cycle cycle offence that can lead to better results some times.

This was always going to take phenomenal years from McDavid and Draisaitl for this team to actually be the "#1 top contender" with the inevitable offensive regressions coming down from last year... we just have to hope the rest of this rag tag roster of forwards can somehow wake up and find some scoring touch to help out a bit.

I think the bones of the defense are solid enough... and as long as Drai and McD stay healthy AND the PK and the goaltending can stabilize... the team can eventually slowly get better until they are closer to what they were last season.

We just need to accept the fact that we will always be a 2 person team. We live and die by the mcdrai and there is no inbetween.

Watching our useless bottom 9, year after year, has just made me accept it. Live and die by the mcdrai

Sure, but we've scored 4 goals. We've only done that 5 times this year. Last time we did that was 10 days ago.

At this point, I'm willing to look past who is scoring.

I like how physical Eberson has been this year. Looking more and more comfy. Oil doing good defensively. From what I have seen, Ottawa had one big chance (the first goal)
