I don’t know, his confidence looks absolutely shot. If you really key on him, he will make a really spectacular “reaction” type save like the one on Boeser and then just freeze. He will often look vaguely over his shoulder wide-eyed, clearly not tracking where the puck went after it hit him (something most goalies “feel”, especially elite ones) and is afraid to “scramble” and possibly make it worse. So he just lies there, wide-eyed, for some noticeable seconds while players swirl around him hammering for the rebound.
Daccord isn’t necessarily “elite” but you’ll often see him lunge in the direction he senses the puck rebounded or at worst attempt to “reset” back to a neutral position in his crease. Grubauer just isn’t doing that, at least not since his injury and perhaps going back further (I hadn’t been paying as close attention)
And to be 100% real, the goal he gave up to Garland coming off the Kraken powerplay was as soft as a baby’s diaper…but goals like that are possibly why his confidence is so low in the first place?
If some old beer league duffer goalie like me can see that, I have to imagine the players and coaches can see it too?
