We were terrible that period. The Ducks being the Ducks is the only reason the game is what it is on the scoreboard.

Play properly for a period then they can take the third off which I what they appear to be looking to do.
We’ve been way too happy to play pond hockey with bad teams for years tho.

Or the truth you just hate Skinner regardless of what saves he makes....
What did I say there suggests I favour Pickard over Skinner?

We need a goalie that can stop the easy ones and some of the hard ones.

Puck was headed right toward his pad. Until Nurse directed it away from pad and around the pad.

These aren’t excuses. These are the exact facts of what happened on that goal. I garantee you didn’t even realize it was deflected by Nurse, so get out of here with the excuse making accusations.
He literally let a goal in that slid along the ice it doesn't matter how it went in. I just found it ironic you make a comment about him usually not letting in pucks that are along the ice a game after he did just that.

Stuart Skinner isn't as bad as a lot of posters make him out to be but comparing him to Fuhr is pure cringe. He has a similar save percentage this season as Fuhr did in the 80s lmfao.

Overall post history, you complain if Skinner farts the wrong note. But don't do the same for Pickard.
Almost like the standards are different for a supposed starter vs. his backup.

Or do you hold Derek Ryan to the same standard as McDavid?

Your original critique was that it went in UNDER his pad, which didn’t happen. Now it’s any goal that slides along the ice is bad?

Comparing a straight on shot that slides under the pad to a goal that gets deflected at net front to go in, makes no sense. So maybe that’ll clear up some confusion as to why your comparison makes no sense.

Weird game so far. Oilers were up 2 goals on 3 shots and it looked like this would be an easy game, then Pickard lets one in the 2nd official Duck shot of the game(terrible defensive decision by Emberson too) which gave them a lot of life

No idea why Derek Ryan still gets into the lineup on this roster though. With how open this game is, his inability to make even the simplest of plays with the puck is glaring
