I thought you liked when the best player on your team has that fire in his belly? Your are crying like a baby like I said you would.;)
I'm pissed that our team is gutless. I'd love MacKinnon if I was a Colorado fan. He makes our guys go cry in the corner. What I want is an appropriate response!

If you don't care if our team has a bunch of p***yes more power to you.

I guess we can take scratch RT from the Jack Adams award now this year. He probably wins it next year at his new location, being that he is so coveted as a coach. BA should have fired him last night after the game.

Nash was right, in the old days, guys would be swinging for the fences especially after the chippy incident with McK. That was uncalled for by him at that point in the game, a blow out. There should have been 4 or 5 fights, this is with RT as coach. I thought he used to fight? Is my memory bad? WTF this team.....

It was a shoulder.
There is a very blatant elbow throw. It’s around 4 seconds in the Sportsnet tweet. He also tried to get him another time. Also Garland stuck his leg out towards Mack’s knee at the very start.

Pick your reason. Some action was warranted. I personally find this more comical than anything. But no one should be head hunting Mack for a troll moment.

MacKinnon is a meaner Shane Doan who also happens to be a superstar. Armstrong needs to bring in someone at the deadline that isn't afraid to go after him. The league has proven they are fine letting every team pound the shit out of the smallest guy on the ice. It's on Armstrong and *gulp* Tocchet to do something about it.

Your comment is a joke and laughable at best. Mack is a dirty player, from what I’ve seen. He needs the shit beat out of him.

I think Tocchet would be in trouble had this loss happened a week or two ago, but now that we are a point back of a playoff spot he is safe for now.

If you're finding this comical then you're admitting you're here to troll.

First you say it's an elbow and now Garland tried to knee him. So now who's trying to pick a reason??? What's next?? Did Garland stick his tongue out at him??

Garland could have been assessed an interference call on that play since the puck wasn't there. If anything I would surmise MacKinnon was pissed because of THAT and reacted the way he did.

Huh? Calling MacKinnon dirty is exactly as ridiculous as what this other guy is saying. That exchange between MacKinnon and Garland is very funny but also all four participants should be embarrassed.

1) MacKinnon got his wires crossed because he didn’t like that a 5’6 shrimp reverse shouldered him. Then he REALLY lost it when his attempt to bully ended up with his ass on the ice via a single-leg takedown from a mighty-might.

To end up chucking a helmet at said Oompa Loompa is pretty pathetic for a guy built like a tank like MacKinnon. Very bad look. He should be embarrassed for A) failing to impose his physical will on a much smaller adversary and B) having a literal temper tantrum over it. Crybaby.

2) Garland completely whiffing on his reverse checks so badly his chicken wing flew out and then also his very NBA theatrics about the helmet.

3) Landeskog for flying in to defend his precious Mackey Mack from Conor “Lollipop Guild” Garland. Like you need TWO beastly bruiser dudes on one peewee? That’s straight up p***y shit. The captain should be ashamed.

4) Lyubushkin for intercepting Landeskog perfectly and then failing to do a single thing about any of it. He had a chance to drop the gloves with an overheated captain and star player. Our #6 D could’ve easily got Landeskog to take a 5 and a 10. And ALSO got revenge for our best player and MVP who was in the process of getting mauled by a much bigger player at that VERY moment.

Instant retribution was willing and available to Lyubushkin. He had Landeskog right where we wanted him. And instead of doing anything he just embraces him like it was his long lost cousin from Siberia that he hadnt seen since he went to the gulag in 2002.

In short, Garland was a dork, MacKinnon a complete spazz, and Lyubushkin and Landeskog were total p***yes. All four deserve to be embarrassed today. And honestly, it’s kinda sad to see where the NHL is at in terms of toughness. A guy is a badass now for having a temper tantrum and doing purely ineffectual demonstrative nonsense with zero result. It reminded me a a fist fight on the playground in third grade.

^ oh and also Fischer for not flying in and taking his one shot at redemption against MacKinnon after he was COMPLETELY de-manned by Mack in the bubble. MacKinnon made Fischer a eunuch and a cuckhold that day. And this was Fischer’s chance to settle accounts. Instead he did some shouting and clutching. Very disappointing.

Yeah. Sorry, but tossing a players helmet into his face when he’s unsuspecting and vulnerable places you into the dirty category. Completely unacceptable and like a child having a temper tantrum.

Man, reading some of the Av's fans logic is hilarious.

Whichever way you slice it, it's BS to take a weapon (yes, a helmet, stick etc is a weapon in this instance) and hit another player in the face with it. Not to mention that Mack TOWERS over Garland. Would have been easy enough to just fight him man to man and make a better point about what his issue was.

The ridiculous logic that "Oh Garland tried to elbow or interfere so it's ok that Mack did what he did" is what leads to Bertuzzi/McSorley type incidents and it's not only bad for the game, it's bad for humanity.

It's fine for MacKinnon to be mad and just fight Garland like normal. He's going to win that battle pretty much every time, I'd imagine. It's NEVER fine to use a weapon to hit another player in the head. That's GARBAGE.

Mackinnon should be ashamed of himself.
