Also looking back at that Garland helmet toss.

Someone on the Avs should be eating through a tube tomorrow. The coyotes are full of a bunch of f***ing pansies. Seriously?

I hope Garland asks for a trade tomorrow. If no one is going to stick up for him, why should he want to continue putting his career at risk to play for this piss poor excuse of a franchise? I defend fictional characters more than the Coyotes defend Garland. It's f***ing pathetic.

How about some payback by this team? You're getting your ass kicked. Go out and let them know you aren't going to take that shit to Garland.
I wish I could recall the exact game but a few years ago OEL was laid out at center ice. As he was laying there on the ice everyone else just stood there. My immediate reaction was how the Wings would have reacted had someone done the same to Yzerman back when I was a teenager. Clean hit or not the gloves would have dropped. Coyotes are missing an edge and have for years.

Garland went for a elbow on Mack... I think a response was warranted

Don't think so.... here's a clip.

From this angle Garland appears to throw a shoulder at MacK. It's a puck battle and Garland wants to get him off the puck.

But no matter how you want to look at it, throwing a player's own helmet at his head isn't a warranted response at any time.

I don't know if I would call it a "throw" or at his "head" personally. Still a dick move though. And requires League intervention.

He'll wipe his ass with a fine. He needs a few haymakers to the grill or they are going to keep cheap shotting Garland until he's knocked out of the game. Bunch of p***yes always going after the smallest guy on the ice.
I thought you liked when the best player on your team has that fire in his belly? Your are crying like a baby like I said you would.;)

He's not going to ask for a trade. Fischer came to his defense at least.

I remembered that well. OEL has had a target on his back from year one, yet no one came to his defense. Garland is getting some of that now.

I really miss old-time hockey. When it was 5-1 there would’ve been a brawl, 7-3 another brawl, best forward getting his helmet thrown at him..full on brawl and likely a goalie fight.
I agree. This figure skating shit is hard to watch. I remember when the Oilers and the Flames played the Battle of Alberta back in the day. That was hockey, players laid it on the line, "during the year". Most you guys probably were knee high to a grasshopper and don't remember or have never witnessed hockey 30- 40 years ago, but hockey today, while fast, not entertaining like it use to be. My opinion of course.

On the bright side Bunting looks like a keeper possibly. Way past due for him to get a real shot and after tonight there is literally no reason to take him out of the lineup. Looking forward to what he can do against a lesser team in the ducks.
It's only one game. I have seen this scenario a million times. Happy for the kid, and hope he can keep it up as we need all the help we can get.

It is a really strange sports phenomenon. Every years players get bigger, Better, and faster and yet imo games get much more boring. We are not far from shinny hockey.
