Its when your defence core is so small they can't move anyone out of crease anyway - so they try to block shots instead. Almost always leaving opposition standing alone for any rebounds that get let out.

Again - all of Toronto's problems are based on not having the right personal to implement a successful system in NHL.

Totally agree. It's not that the players are refusing to play a system, and they aren't lazy, and they aren't tuning out the coach. They simply cannot compete - when you go down the roster its really a lot of soft players who play small. Especially most of the D.

1) not been responsible for a 2-on-1 against because he can actually skate
2) not totally negated a 2-on-1 for the Leafs because he can actually skate

Can I go with

2) Taken an extra stride to put himself offside

I'd say it's a tie and they both lose (as do we)
