I stand by my prediction that Kindl won't play another game for the Wings.

I think you may be right. I was thinking the same thing after the second bad turnover. I said when he turned it over, I think he just wrote his ticket out of town.

After his last game, I think that's what should happen.

But if so, they need to make a move so Lashoff goes back to being a #7. He should not be a regular for an extended period. They said he played more than they wanted last year. Let's not do that 2 years in a row.

I know I was so hoping that with Kindl originally being the healthy scratch that it meant the end of the road for him in Detroit. But now I guess he will be around awhile.

I have to wonder if Holland and Babcock are seeing eye to eye on this. Kindl was definitely benched in the 3rd period last game until Kronwall got hurt. I can't remember the last time Babs outright benched someone.

Maybe Holland is begging anyone to take Kindl and someone finally offered to send a scout to the game?

Ah, it looks like there's a question as to whether the docs will clear Kronwall to play. Maybe that's the reason for some ambiguity on the defensive starters.

Kindl was benched for a good chunk of the Hawks game earlier this year.

Its too bad assistants can't win the Jack Adams. Jim Hiller should be nominated for the sheer fact that our PP is 4th in the league nearly halfway through the season and we have arguably the worst collection of point men in the entire league. I'll admit I hated this PP set up from the first dozen games or so, but it really has taken off.

I'm wondering the exact same thing as well, I was wondering if a team had a deal in place to take Kindl and it fell through I know the freeze does'nt lift until midnight tonight. But there could have been an agreement before the freeze and possibly the deal fell through maybe to the Jets with all of their Injuries to their top 4 maybe. Just wondering.

He is not worth anything because of his contract. Just waive him. We're better off with Ouelett.

This has been true since this past off season and he's still not waived. At this point, Kindl is going to have to shoot a teammate with an actual gun, on purpose, to be waived. Because clearly his play on the ice isn't sending the message.

Kindl was benched for a good chunk of the Hawks game earlier this year.

Which was puzzling to be honest, since he wasn't even that bad in that game. He was 5x worse at least this past game versus the Sabres.

It looked great in pre-season too, before going cold to start the season. Babs deserves credit as well for his deliberate policy of seeking out assistants with new ideas.

I'm still surprised the Wings are ranked so highly in so many categories even after that losing streak and all the doom and gloom.

Didn't he bench Kindl for half a game a few weeks back too?

I would say that is a little overstated but the PP is working quite well. They are running a system that plays to their strengths. In a cap league every team has holes. The Wings seemed to have plugged theirs with smarts.
